Central Vic Rangers – Round 6 Summary

Another chilly Sunday saw our Rangers teams take to the field against Bendigo East, Dodgers and Falcons, with plenty of highlights across the club.

Under 13s
The Under 13s recorded a solid win and it was fantastic to see the continued improvement of our players. We also celebrated a few special milestones, with Willow recording her first hit and both Harry and Iris crossing home plate for the first time. Congratulations to all three players on these memorable achievements.

Under 15s
The Under 15s continued their impressive form, remaining undefeated and sitting on top of the ladder after another strong performance. The team continues to play great baseball and is building momentum as the season progresses.

Division 3
Division 3 secured a solid win over Bendigo East. A special congratulations to Hayden, who made his senior debut for the club following his recent birthday. The team turned a double play in the field, Ryan pitched two scoreless innings, and Benny achieved the rare feat of hitting not one, but two inside-the-park home runs.

Division 4
Division 4 battled hard but went down by nine runs. We welcomed Gino for his first game with the team, while Nick L had a go on the mound and did a great job. The team also turned a couple of double plays in the field, highlighting some excellent defensive efforts.

A big thank you to Ash for taking photos throughout the day, and to all our players, supporters, scorers, sponsors, umpires and managers who braved the cold conditions on Sunday. Your ongoing support makes our club such a great place to be.

⚾️ Round 5 Results ⚾️

Another big weekend for CVR Baseball Club!

👏 Under 13s recorded their second win of the season with a great performance against the Dodgers.
👏 Under 15s continued their strong form with another solid team win.
👏 Div 4 travelled to Bendigo and came home with a strong victory.
👏 Div 3 battled hard with only 8 players and remained competitive all game.
👏 Div 2 were unfortunately hit hard by injury and illness and were forced to forfeit.

A huge thank you to all players, coaches, families and members who continue to show up, train hard, develop and enjoy the game of baseball together. We go again this weekend! 💪⚾️

⚾️ Round 4 Wrap-Up – Central Vic Rangers Baseball Club ⚾️

All teams braved the damp and chilly conditions up at Albert Roy Reserve this weekend, showing great spirit, teamwork, and plenty of Rangers pride! 💪🌧️

🔹 Under 13s
A tough outing against the Falcons, but there were so many positives to take away. Lots of players stepped into new positions and showed fantastic effort, development, and willingness to learn. Keep working hard, Rangers! 👏

🔹 Division 2
What a performance! Division 2 put together their best game of the season so far and came away with a hard-fought win over the Falcons. Great teamwork and determination right to the final out! 🔥⚾️

🔹 Division 3
Division 3 continued their strong form with another impressive win over the Falcons. Confidence is building and the team is playing some fantastic baseball! 🙌

🔹 Division 4
Division 4 battled hard all day, with players taking on new positions and continuing to develop their skills while having plenty of fun along the way. Despite going down to the Scots Div 3 side, the effort and attitude were outstanding! 😊

Big thanks to all players, coaches, scorers, umpires, and supporters for sticking it out in the wet conditions. Another great weekend for the Rangers family! ❤️⚾️

Round 3 saw many players and spectators head out to Elphinstone on Mother’s Day for another great day of baseball.

Our junior teams put in strong performances and walked away with 2 wins for the day. A special shout-out to the Under 13s, who took the field with 9 players for the first time and celebrated their first win of the season — a fantastic effort by everyone involved!

A few unavailabilities and injuries made things challenging for our senior teams, but they continued to put up solid performances while developing and gelling together as a group.

🌧️ Round Summary – Central Vic Rangers Baseball Club ⚾

With all junior matches washed out, it was left to our senior teams to brave the wet conditions and take on Bendigo East.

Division 2 showed some really positive signs of improvement, continuing to build as a group, but were ultimately outclassed by a strong Easts outfit.

Division 3 delivered a fantastic come-from-behind win in a competitive and fiercely contested match—great grit and determination on display!

A big thank you to everyone who took the field and supported in tough conditions 👏

Highlight of the day: The “Great Bambino” Sproaty putting the body on the line with a huge slide into home plate to score a crucial run!

Looking ahead, most teams are back at Elphinstone Rec Reserve this week, with Division 3 heading to Scots. Get around it and support the Rangers! 💙

Round 1 Results

What a fantastic start to the season, with 4 games played at our home ground in Elphinstone this past week. The weather was lovely, the canteen was busy, and there were plenty of players, supporters, and volunteers around all day.

It was great to see so many new members out playing baseball and helping each other. Our committee was busy behind the scenes, and so many people chipped in to help set up, umpire, coach, score, clean up, and pack away.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and made the day such a success. Our little baseball club is growing, and it’s exciting to see! 💙⚾🙂
