Fuego Flamenco started out as Karen Henderson making costumes for herself and her dancing friends, and has slowly turned into the desire to provide quality Spanish dance costumes, equipment and accessories around Australia. It has been frustrating as a dancer finding shoes, castanets, flowers, fringing... all of these are things I want to provide to dancers around Australia at a reasonable price.
Without having to wait months to receive the goods, only to find what you ordered is peacock green instead of apple green! I love designing pretty, feminine, modern silhouettes, and have a range of practise skirts and leotards of my own designs. But if you've seen something you love, I can do that to! Everything is made by hand, to order, by me. I've been hard at work in 2015 finding suppliers, and am happy to say I've built up quite the repertoire of goods to purchase:
