This season marks the exciting debut of one our newest Opens team - Amethyst. A group brought together by a shared love of netball and a desire to take things from social play to something a little more competitive.
Made up of mostly mums who have spent years enjoying the game socially, this team has now banded together to challenge themselves in the winter competition. While life is busy with families, work and responsibilities, their passion for netball has brought them back on to the court - proving that age and commitments are no barrier to enjoying the game you love.
What makes this team especially special is the connection to the Annie’s Netball Club, with several players already supporting their daughters who play within the club. It’s created a wonderful tradition in the making, seeing both mums and daughters representing Annie’s, sharing their love for netball across generations.
This team embodies fun, determination, and community spirit. They may be new to competing together, but they bring plenty of experience, teamwork and enthusiasm.
We’re excited to see what they achieve this season. One thing is certain, they’ll play hard, support each other, and have a great time doing it! ❤️💙💛
