When it comes to achieving goals, it can feel frustratingly slow sometimes but it’s important to be kind to yourself.

Acknowledge the wins you have already had, and remember you’re one step further than where you were yesterday.

Your health journey is your own and cannot be compared to someone else.
You can only compare yesterday’s version of you.

Progress is progress and by staying consistent, working hard, and being patient, you will start to see results!!

I work with a lot of women in their 60s and 70s and am so proud of their strength, stamina, and stability.

Gentle exercise can help prevent falls and trips, reduce the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and osteoporosis, and improve pain levels of arthritis.

Keeping active is the key to healthy ageing!

The old and the new power racks. Now the girls will be able to have more training options inside when the weather is not great in the outdoor area.
The old one will stay and get a revamp at Christmas time.

Do you find yourself drinking less during the colder months? You're not the only one!

While you might not be as thirsty or losing as much water due to sweat, it's important to stay well-hydrated regardless of the weather.

Here are some handy tricks to keep on top of your fluid intake in the lead up to winter:

🚰 Opt for hot beverages -- green tea, broth or hot lemon water are great choices!

🚰 Continue to carry a water bottle with you -- even if it's cold outside!

🚰 Enjoy soups -- the more veggies, the better!

🚰 Drink before you eat -- serve dinner with a glass of water!

🚰 Set a reminder on your phone -- the perfect failsafe!

Have you had enough water today?

Thought I would share the Top 8 reasons women visit me as a
as a Personal Trainer…🏋️‍♀️

1. Menopausal or Lifestyle-Related Weight Gain

Many women experience changes in their metabolism and body composition during menopause. Together, we tackle these challenges with a tailored approach to fitness and nutrition.

2. Injuries/Autoimmune Challenges

Injuries or conditions like arthritis or autoimmune diseases can limit mobility and functionality. I design programs to safely improve strength, flexibility, and overall movement to help women quite literally “get back on their feet”!

3. Event Goals

Weddings and holidays often spur women on to look and feel better in their dresses/swimmers. Short term goals are great for motivation but it’s so important to back them up with another once the goal has been reached, otherwise you’ll find yourself back at square one in no time.

4. Uncertainty about Physical Limitations

Unsure what your body can handle? I guide you through exercises that are right for you, emphasising safety and progression while respecting your unique needs.

5. Depression or Blues Affecting socialising

Physical activity can boost mood and help you reconnect with yourself and others. Together, we make exercise an empowering and positive part of your day!

6. Declining Strength and Energy

Many women notice a loss of muscle tone and energy with age. Resistance training and functional exercises can rebuild strength, boost stamina, and make daily activities easier.

7. Desire for a Healthier, More Active Lifestyle

Sometimes it’s not about fixing a specific problem but building a lifestyle that supports physical and mental wellness. Regular training can help you stay active for hobbies, travel, and enjoying time with loved ones, and help maintain your independence as you get older.

8. Motivation and Accountability

Personal Trainers provide a built-in source of motivation and accountability. For many women, sticking to a fitness routine can be challenging without someone to keep them on track. Having a trainer pushes them to show up and work hard, specially when they may feel unmotivated.

Whether it’s one of these reasons or an entirely different one, I’d love to discuss your fitness and health goals with you! I create a supportive space, free from judgement, where you can build confidence at your own pace.💪

A reminder to keep your goals at the top of your mind as we tackle these next few weeks of winter.

Every action and inaction you take today will have an impact on your health in the future.

Obviously look after yourself and don’t do anything too strenuous if you are sick or injured.

But if you have a sore knee, can you work out your upper body instead? If your wrist is sore, what about the stationary bike or treadmill?

If you’re not well, ask yourself what the issue is. Don’t confuse cold winter blues with feeling sick. The flu is one thing, feeling “meh” is another!

Successful people find reasons, not excuses. They make incremental shifts every day that move them toward their goal.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, get fitter, build strength, or live independently for as long as you can, your decisions today will either get you closer or take you further away.

If you want to win winter and own summer, message or phone me on 0405601851 today to discuss a personalised plan to smash your goals. It’s your job to commit. It’s my job to keep you accountable.

We are now up to day 47 of our America and Canada trip.

The past week has gone way too quickly. Sadly we dropped the RV off on Thursday and are now in San Francisco for a few days until we fly home.

All up between the American and Canadian trip we have spent 42 days in the RV’s. It has definitely been the best way for us to travel.

We have loved that we are still able to eat healthily by cooking our own breakfast, lunch and dinner and can basically eat what we do at home. There are not a lot of healthy options to choose from when eating out-especially in America!

Banff was lovely but very busy and hard to get around in an RV so we parked it up and rode to town in the free bus.
Went and had a look at Minewanka, Two Jacks and Johnson Lakes-all beautiful and awesome for paddle-boarding as they were so calm and clear but also very cold.

We have thoroughly enjoyed all the walking we have done. We chose trails of moderate intensity that were no further than 6km return so that a walk didn’t take up too much of our day and we could get to see more than one place in a day.

In the past week we have seen lots of elk, big horned sheep, cute squirrels and Scott saw a black bear.

Thanks to Scott and all of the thorough research and planning he has done in the past 12 months we have had the most amazing, enjoyable and unforgettable trip.

So looking forward to seeing you all again!!
I will be starting back on Monday 20th July. The Monday, Wednesday 8.45am group session will start on Monday 27th July.
Until then keep on exercising!🚴‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏃‍♀️

We are up to day 40 of our America and Canada trip.
We have seen so much amazing scenery in the past week.
Peyto Lake was so amazing-the pretty blue colour of the water doesn’t even look real.
And Maligne Lake and Spirit Island were spectacular. We were also lucky enough to walk on Athabasca Glacier which was such an awesome experience.

Being early risers sure has it advantages. Some of the most popular places to visit become busy by around 8am. We get out of bed at 4.30am to be on the road by just after 6am.
Two mornings ago we were the first two people on the trail at Sunwapta Falls. It was so magical having the place all to ourselves.

This morning was another early one to be at Johnson Canyon to beat the crowds. We were the 1st RV in the car park. Johnson Canyon is a beautiful 5km walk to the upper Falls. The path is very narrow in places so it becomes very crowded quite early. It is so much more enjoyable walking on the trails when they are not overcrowded.

This afternoon we had the Sulphur Mountain Gondola booked. It was such an awesome view at the top of the mountain. More walking and heaps of stairs to get the best views.
We ended up doing 19,800 steps and 55 floors for the day.

We have 5 nights left in the RV. It has been a fantastic way to travel. Apart from getting used to living in a space smaller than my ensuite I have loved it. Nothing beats parking up in a beautiful spot and having morning tea or lunch
right there. Also having a toilet on board is great-I haven’t had to use the she wee once-thankfully!

Missing you all!! Keep on exercising!🏋️‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️
