First knife in 12 months made from a piece of spring steel and used the power hammer for the first time and save me hours. This is a gift for my neighbour who helped build the power hammer nice little kitchen knife.

Well finally the power hammer is now finished kind of but working just needs a few minor tweaks and it will be finished....

Well finally the power hammer is now finished kind of but working just needs a few minor tweaks and it will be finished. So today I tested it out with a piece of coil spring and within literally 3 hours I had a small knife draw out shaped sanded and heat treated. It is now in the oven tempering. It used to take me a 1 to 1 1/2 days to get to this stage using good old hand power and a hammer. So happy to finally have it working and also to be making another knife after nearly 12 months due to health and house Reno’s. Will do a video of it working when I start my next project which will be a sword.

Customer did not collect so I have this knife also for sale for $80 message me if interested.

Haven’t had much time of late to do any forging and hadn’t even really used my new grinder. So I have some steel from left from the last knife I made so whacked this out on my grinder in 2 hours 😊 this used to take me a day the old way soooo happy. Now to heat treat and had a handle time permitting.

Finally finished my fillet knife order it is my take on a Japanese Gokujo fillet knife and decided to try a pattern on the blade protector sheath.
