1-) Sports Club Administrator & Receptionist (Casual)
We’re looking for a friendly, organised, proactive and reliable person who enjoys working with people and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Elanora Squash Club is a community-focused sports club offering squash, gym, bar, dining and social activities to members and guests on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
About the Role:
This role begins as a 6-week holiday cover position (approximately 24 hours per week – 9am to 5pm, 3 weekdays, negotiable Monday to Friday) from early July to mid-August, with the opportunity for ongoing regular work of approximately 3 days per week, including some weekend shifts, for the right candidate.
This position would suit an experienced administrator, receptionist, office manager, executive assistant, or hospitality professional looking for a varied role in a friendly community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greeting members and visitors
• Managing bookings and memberships
• Answering phones and emails
• Processing payments and enquiries
• Managing inboxes and club systems
• Supporting rostering, daily operations and team communication
• Maintaining records and documentation
• Assisting with supplier orders and operational requirements
• Supporting email marketing and club promotions
What We're Looking For
Essential:
• Ability to take initiative and confidently manage day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
• Previous administration, reception or customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Confidence using computers, email and online systems
• RSA Certificate
Desirable:
• Experience with membership-based businesses, sports clubs or hospitality venues
• Experience using booking, membership or CRM software
• Experience with social media, marketing or email campaigns
• Experience with rostering, HR administration or bookkeeping systems
• Ideally located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches or surrounding areas

2-) Casual Reception/ Bar Staff Needed
We’re on the hunt for a friendly, committed and reliable person to join our small, family-run sports club in a hybrid Reception/Bar role.
This casual position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can multitask with ease.
The role consists primarily of afternoon (from 4pm onwards) and evening shifts across weekdays and weekends. Hours generally range between 15–30 hours per week, and availability for these shifts is essential for the ideal candidate.
Duties (including but not limited to):
Reception:
• Greeting customers and signing members in and out using our online booking system
• Collecting payments and assisting with general club enquiries
• Completing basic administrative tasks such as responding to emails, answering phone calls, and helping promote club events, functions, memberships, and special offers
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area
Bar:
• Greeting and serving customers
• Taking orders and serving food and alcoholic beverages
• Cleaning and maintaining the bar area
• Opening and closing the bar
What We’re Looking For:
• Friendly, organised, and proactive attitude
• A quick learner who is open to training and new challenges
• Must be available to work afternoons, evenings/late nights on weekdays and weekends, with availability for 15–30 hours per week
• Must have current RSA certification
• Must have minimum of 1 year hospitality/ admin experience
• Ideally located on Sydney's Northern Beaches or surrounding areas
This is a casual role with opportunities to pick up additional shifts when staff are unavailable, and there is potential for more regular work for the right person.
