On completion of today’s mid week competition, players observed a mob of kangaroos get spooked on the first fairway. Someone threw up a thought that it’s got to be a dog before a keen eye spotted this in the photo below. On further investigation, a member observed what appeared to be a feral dog which was mauling a young kangaroo. A group then approached the dog which then bolted into the scrub. Unfortunately the young kangaroo was too severely wounded and had to be euthanized.

Hello everyone and welcome back to our weekly report. Last Saturday at Eildon, twelve players contested an individual Stableford round before returning to the club house to have all names drawn out for a combined two person score. In a very even contest, two groups returned with a score of 63 points. As it was a little difficult to go to a count back, it was decided that the prize would be shared between all four players. Congratulations Marion Williamson (who also had an individual 39 points) who drew Ken Coller. Our other pairing was Rod Taylor and Rosemary Parker. In the ball rundown, the duo of Kerry Power and Dwayne Cornelius combined for a total of 61 points.

Hello everyone and welcome back to our weekly report. Last Saturday we paid tribute to one of our lifetime member and past captain of the Eildon Golf Club in the Graeme Smedley memorial. Only a small field of thirteen players contested a 4BBB competition in Graeme’s honor.
Our winners for the day with 43 points were the pairing of Michael & Sandi McLear followed up by Colin Long and Leigh Munro on 41. The ball rundown went to 40 points and earned Kerry Power and Grant Walters a prize.
Phil Dally was nearest the pin on the par 4 3rd (second shot), Ken Coller the 12th and Kerry on the 14th.
The 5th and 11th went begging as did the 15th on the birdie holes. Kerry was successful with birdie on the par 4 8th finding the green with his tee shot but unfortunately missing the eagle opportunity.
Our entry draw was shared between Phil and Ian Lakeland and Kerry was the fortunate swindle recipient.
