Hello everyone and welcome back to our weekly report. With limited numbers, our scheduled 3 person Ambrose was changed to a 2 person competition. Only eleven players ventured out in cool, drizzly conditions at Eildon last Saturday. Congratulations Kerry Power and Grant Walters who returned a very reasonable 65 net to gain first place honors. On a count back to grab second place was the pairing of Shane Barrand and Brett Lyon on 67.75 with third place pairing of Phil Gourlay and Brett again due to the uneven numbers also on 67.75. Phil secured two of the four nearest the pins on offer claiming the 12th & 14th. The 5th &11th went unclaimed. There were no birdie holes due to the Ambrose format.
Nick Munro was the entry draw recipient and was also our lucky swimmer draw winner.
Well done everyone for coming out in trying conditions and having a crack.
Until next time, take care and happy hitting. EGC.

On completion of today’s mid week competition, players observed a mob of kangaroos get spooked on the first fairway. Someone threw up a thought that it’s got to be a dog before a keen eye spotted this in the photo below. On further investigation, a member observed what appeared to be a feral dog which was mauling a young kangaroo. A group then approached the dog which then bolted into the scrub. Unfortunately the young kangaroo was too severely wounded and had to be euthanized.
