Junior baseball in Cairns has gone from strength to strength in recent years and will play a significant role in this announcement. Train hard this week kids and we look forward to seeing you out on the diamond this year!

While the rain has robbed us of our last weekend of preseason, we look forward to the season proper starting next weekend. In the meantime, we have received exciting news through the week and will make a significant announcement in the days to come about the future of BASEBALL in CAIRNS. Stay tuned….. 😎⚾️

Well, hopefully not a sign of the season to come. Our second week of preseason games today are unfortunately cancelled thanks to the rain 😢

Please keep an eye out for communications from your clubs and coaches this week for the season proper starting next Saturday 10/05 as we finalise games times and draws now that we have some certainty around playing numbers and age groups.

Aaaaannnnd that's the ballgame!

This morning marked the end of the 2024 CJBL season. On behalf of the CJBL and all the players , we say thank you for joining us this year and look for to a bigger competition in 2025.

A massive thanks to the CJBL committee, Coaches Cat, Ben, Dave, Brendan, Ngaire and Fleety. To Cubs Baseball Club - Cairns for hosting the games and all our parent volunteers and supporters.

Looking forward to some Baseball action this weekend!

Hopefully the weather plays nice and we can get a run... Should it be raining through the night please wait for messaging from CJBL. We will only advise if games are cancelled!!! (Club coaches are generally the first to know).

In other news.... It seems that there are several viruses circulating through the Cairns community. PLEASE, if your child is sick or displaying symptoms of being sick, keep them at home.

There are many shared resources ie: bats, balls, helmets etc.

We would hate to lose players each week due to illness.

Huge weekend of Junior Baseball with the end of the Cairns leg of the Intercity challenge between Baseball Association Townsville and Cairns Junior Baseball League.

U17s cyclones won two games and drew one.

U13s went down in the series 2-1 after a loss today. Heads were held high and some really great Baseball played.

Congratulations goes to our Open Cyclones team for winning the Barrier Reef Tournament against Alice Springs, another great win for Cairns and Baseball!

What a start to the Intercity challenge... with a win and loss to each team it's onto the decider for the Cairns leg.

BIG weekend of local Baseball... today is the start of the Barrier Reef Tournament for CBL seniors. Teams from Baseball Association Townsville , Alice Springs, Cairns Baseball League and NQ will do battle over 3 days with finals on Sunday afternoon.

Our Cairns Junior Baseball League Cyclones will verse Townsvile Steelers in a 6 game series starting in Cairns on Saturday and ending in TSV in August. Come down and watch our young guns in action.
