About Our Goal
We strongly believe that connecting with our athletes and getting their feedback is one of the best ways we can make the club stronger and more enjoyable for everyone.
Our goal is to have a representative who can speak with athletes, understand how they see the club, and give them a chance to share their ideas, concerns and suggestions.
This role helps make sure athletes have a voice and can help the club build a stronger connection with its members.
About the Role
The Youth Ambassador/s acts as a bridge between young athletes and the Club Committee.
They will speak with athletes, gather feedback, help younger athletes feel included, and pass ideas and concerns on to the committee.
Core Responsibilities
- Speak with athletes and gather ideas, concerns and suggestions.
- Present athlete feedback to the Club Committee.
- Assist with warm-ups on competition nights.
- Find suitable times to approach athletes, such as before competition, while waiting for events or around the canteen.
- Act as an approachable role model for younger athletes.
- Ask open-ended questions about what athletes enjoy, what they do not enjoy, and what they would like to see added or changed.
Representative Requirements
- Approachable and open-minded.
- Comfortable speaking with athletes of different ages.
- Able to communicate well with committee members.
- Able to accurately pass athlete feedback on during committee meetings.
- Positive, respectful and willing to listen.
Expression of Interest
EOIs close Monday 21 September 2026.
The Committee will discuss all applicants at the next committee meeting, with the successful applicant/s announced at our competition night on Friday 25 September 2026.
