Edgewater Cricket Club is a community based club which caters for 5-8 year old's, 9-16 year old Juniors in the NWMCA competition & five Senior teams in the NSCCA competition. All players are welcome, regardless of what your skill level may be!

🏅 Chairman of Selectors Appointed for 2026/27

The Edgewater Cricket Club Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Andrews as our Chairman of Selectors for the 2026/27 season.

Luke is a highly respected member of the Emus family, bringing a wealth of cricket knowledge, a strong understanding of our club culture, and a genuine passion for helping players and teams succeed. As a committee member, experienced player, and regular presence at training, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities needed for this important leadership role.

His achievements at ECC include:
🏆 70 Club Matches
🏆 2022/23 1st XI Premiership Player
🏆 2022/23 Neil Fowler MVP Award Winner
🏆 2022/23 David Jones Bowling Award Winner
🎯 147 wickets at an average of 16.73

Known for being fair, inclusive, knowledgeable, and a strong communicator, Luke is deeply invested in the success of all players and teams across the club.

Luke will work closely with Head Coach Mike Knight and our four captains to ensure selections align with the club's goals, values, and vision for the upcoming season.

🏏 SEASON LAUNCH SUPER 8'S TOURNAMENT 🏏

We're kicking off the 2026/27 season with a fun, inclusive day of cricket, club camaraderie and community spirit on Sunday 20 September (10:00am - 6:00pm).

This year's event is proudly linked to R U OK? Day 2026, providing a great opportunity for players, families and supporters to reconnect, have some fun, and check in with one another before the season gets underway.

🏆 What's on the line? The winning team will be crowned champions and take home the prestigious Stubberfield Cup.

To help with team selections, we're asking all players to complete the registration form and indicate which match times they are available for. We'll use this information to create balanced teams and ensure everyone gets the opportunity to be involved.

🏏 PRE-SEASON TRAINING UPDATE 🏏

The buzz around Edgewater Cricket Club continues to grow!

After several fantastic pre-season sessions, it's clear there is a real excitement building across the club. From our senior men's grades to our women's program, the turnout has been outstanding, and it's been brilliant to see so many Emus back with bat and ball in hand as we gear up for the 2026/27 season. 💛❤️

The energy, enthusiasm and commitment shown so far have been tremendous and are a great reflection of the positive culture we're continuing to build at Edgewater CC.

With numbers exceeding expectations and indoor net availability at a premium, we've only been able to secure one lane across our three-hour booking window at the WACA Indoor Centre for the remaining sessions.

To ensure everyone has a quality opportunity to get valuable batting and bowling practice, we've allocated specific times for each playing group over the next two Sundays.

🌳 Outdoor Training Returns to Emerald Park

The countdown to the season really begins when we return outdoors!

We're excited to announce that outdoor training at Emerald Park will commence on Thursday 27th August from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

From that point onwards, training will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm as we build towards what is shaping as a likely Round 1 start on Saturday 3rd October.

Whether you've been at every session so far or are still planning your first hit-out of pre-season, now is the perfect time to get involved.

The excitement around the club is growing each week, new and returning faces are filling the nets, and there's a genuine sense that something special is building for the season ahead.

Let's keep the momentum rolling, continue the hard work, and make sure we're ready to hit the ground running when Round 1 arrives.

As we await our second pre-season training session at the WACA this morning at 11am, we thought we would share some exciting things in the works for the social side of the club this summer!

Cricket is only part of what makes our club great. Our social events have been designed to bring together players, partners, families, supporters and sponsors for a fantastic season on and off the field.
