As we approach the 2026 season, the Executive Committee of the Eden Whalers would like to extend a formal invitation to all players and families to complete their registrations ahead of the season commencement, now just four weeks away.

We recognise that the current global and economic climate is presenting challenges for many families and individuals. However, local sport remains one of the most important pillars of community connection, wellbeing, and resilience—particularly during uncertain times.

We also advise that there are now limited spots remaining across a number of teams, including U9’s, U11’s, U13’s, Women’s and Men’s grades. Early registration is strongly encouraged to avoid disappointment.

The Eden Whalers Football Club is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and professionally run environment for players of all ages and abilities. Our focus remains on:
• Building strong team culture and community spirit
• Supporting physical and mental wellbeing
• Delivering a structured and enjoyable football program
• Creating opportunities for player development at all levels

Timely registrations are critical to ensuring we can:
• Finalise team numbers and grading
• Confirm coaching structures
• Order apparel and equipment
• Deliver the best possible experience for every player

We strongly encourage all intending players to register as soon as possible. Early commitment provides certainty not only for the club, but for teammates, coaches, and the broader Whalers community.

If financial or personal circumstances are impacting your ability to register, we encourage you to reach out confidentially to the club. We are committed to working with our community to ensure no player misses the opportunity to be involved.

The Eden Whalers are incredibly proud to recognise two of our young players, Mason and Bentley, who are stepping up to chase bigger opportunities in representative footy.

Mason has put himself forward to trial for the Under 15s Stingrays squad, while Bentley is taking on the challenge of trialling for the GWS Giants Academy.

Coming from a club where numbers might be small, but heart is anything but, these boys represent exactly what the Whalers are all about — commitment, courage, and a willingness to have a crack. It takes determination to push beyond your comfort zone, and both Mason and Bentley have shown that in spades.

They’ve put in the work at training, supported their teammates, and now get the opportunity to test themselves at the next level. No matter the outcome, the entire club is behind them and couldn’t be prouder.

This is what grassroots footy is about — creating pathways, building confidence, and backing our kids to chase their goals.
