Just in case anyone else missed this well-deserved nomination at the Riverine Herald’s 2025 Echuca-Moama Sport star awards held recently at the Moama Bowling Club. Our hardworking founding President Doug Black and Vice President, Trish Black were nominated for the 2025, Spirit of Sport award, a fantastic achievement! Thirty-five nominees across five categories were recognized for excelling on or around the sporting field over the past year. Well done Trish and Doug! POD LEAGUE - NEW!!!!
Calling all the top pickleballers in the central borderlands . . .

1/5/2026 IMPORTANT UPDATE

Due to a large number of players being unavailable because of Mother’s Day family commitments, we have decided to cancel the scheduled Pickled Pod League Grading Day on Sunday May 10th.
After reviewing registrations, we also feel that formal grading is already naturally built into the structure of the Pickled Pod League itself. The pod movement system, player results, and weekly match play will allow players to quickly settle into competitive groupings across the league.

At this stage, we simply ask players to provide their current DUPR rating (if they have one) to assist with the initial pod placements.

We also understand that life gets busy. If players are unable to attend all 7 playing dates, substitutes will be permitted to help maintain smooth competition flow throughout the league.

Thank you for the strong interest and enthusiasm already building around the Pickled Pod League. We’re looking forward to launching a fun, challenging, and dynamic winter competition for our players.


Echuca Moama PC is running our first 8-week league, open to the region’s most competitive, highly rated PAA players!
When:
Week 1 Grading Day Sunday 10th May (GRADING DAY CANCELLED)
Weeks2-7 League Play Sunday 24th May-28th June
Week 8 Finals Sunday 5th July.

Cost: League $100

POD LEAGUE:
An 8-week round robin League with a maximum of 20 players. 4 players per pod/court, round robin doubles; play 2 rounds of 3 matches per session; Timed play & rally scoring.

2 levels; Dupr 3.0-3.49 and Dupr 3.5+ (self rated if not on DUPR)

Congratulations to Stephen Hope on another fantastic win. Stephen won a bronze medal at the Noosa Doubles Classic Pickleball Tournament on the weekend wiith his partner Kane from the Sunshine Coast. Well done to you both from the EMPC!
