Well what a day today has been, the last 24 hours has been very emotional with the loss of our father / father in-law Norm, and then to make the decision to still go to the races with The Talking Toff ( but that is what Norm would have wanted ) on Bendigo Cup Day and come home a winner. He was ridden again today by Neil Farley, who has a great association with Toffy, and sorry Neil you had some help today with Norm, but was given a great ride to get home in the last stride. He travelled at the back of the field as usual, come to the outside and making ground about the 600m and took his time winding up on the outside to grab a last stride victory. We could not have asked for a better script to end today. Congratulations to all his owners, and a very big thank you to all our hard working staff. Let's hope the horses can keep performing well as there has been some very trying days up here with floods as well. Once thank you to everyone who has helped us and messaged us today and over the last week, sorry if we haven't got back to everyone we will do in the next day or so. Onwards and upwards πŸ‡ πŸ‡πŸ‡ 😊😊😊

Yesterday we went to Benalla with 2 runners on Benalla Gold Cup day. First to race was Outlaw Ned in the 64 2046m with Neil Farley riding, and he ran super running 2nd. This was his first run for 5 weeks as races being called off due to the wet weather, so we were very pleased with him, he sat outside the leader for most of the race and took the lead just after turning for home and just got run down late. He will improve a lot with this run under his belt as his next run will hopefully be in the next 2 - 3 weeks not 5 πŸ˜‰. Next horse to run was The Talking Toff also ridden by Neil Farley, who came home a winner in the 64 1606m. Was great to see him win again for all owners. He sat back in the field early and when turning home was outside the leader then went to the front and won by a length and a half. Very pleased with both boys runs yesterday πŸ˜€ , we also have had a visitor for a few days in Not Usual Glorious who we also took to races also ridden by Neil Farley and also won, he took out the Benalla Gold Cup, so congratulations to his trainer and owners for another win for this horse. Once again thank you to all our hard working staff 😊😊 onwards and upwards πŸ‡ πŸ‡πŸ‡ A great day had by all

Today we went to Benalla with 2 runners, but only 1 ended up running with races being abandoned after the 3rd due to visibility, and she came home a winner. Cost Of Devotion had a bit of a freshen up after her last run over 2400m, so she was very fit to run over 2000m on very trying conditions today. Another great ride from Neil Farley from the outside barrier settled 3rd last, and just past the 800m mark when other horses were feeling the pinch she just ambled up to them hit the front at the top of the straight and won by 1.8 lengths. She was still a bit wayward not knowing how to put them away, but she got the job done and hope she learns a lot from today. Congratulations to owners / breeders Russell and Jo who have been very patient with her and were on course today to see her win. Once again thank you to all our hard working staff onwards and upwards πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡

Today we went to Wangaratta with just the 1 runner, with Outlaw Ned running in the 58 2000m, and he rewarded everyone by winning by half a length. This was his first time this preparation over the 2000m, which wasn't a worry but the very heavy and trying conditions was our main concern. He wasn't real comfortable in these conditions, that Neil described as a heavy 25 not heavy 10, but his fitness, heart and ability saw him put his head out to win. Another great ride from Neil Farley, who knows our horses so well. Congratulations to owners / breeders Steve and Jodi who deserve another win with Ned, we were so happy to see him win for them. Thank you again to all our hard working staff without all the efforts everyone put in, we wouldn't be able to keep the stable running like we do. Hope to keep the stable going well onwards and upwards πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‡πŸ‡

Today we had 2 runners at Wodonga on a heavy 10 track. First to run was Full Ahead in the 58 2050m who was on a quick back up after running 4th on Monday at Wangaratta over 2000m, and she won again today. This is her 5th win ( $125,000 ) and even as a 7yo still showing us that she still loves her racing. A great ride also fron Nick Souquet, she is a tuff mare πŸ’ͺ. Next to run was Dinga who we thought would also run a great race, but with the inside gate against him, as he prefers to be out wider, he went terrible 😳 we were very disappointed and appeared not to have tried too hard. We will run bloods and go right over him and if all ok will back him up next week. Congratulations to all owners of Full Ahead and thanks to all staff for their hard work .onwards and upwards 😊😊😊

Yesterday we had 3 runners at Echuca. First runner was Merrifield having her first start in 1400m maiden, we were happy with her run as she is still learning, didn't handle the wet track and will be looking for more ground, she was beaten 5 lengths. Will be looking at getting her on a better surface and over more distance. Next horse to run was The Talking Toff racing over 1600m and finally he won his second race. He has been a very frustrating horse as he has always shown us he has a lot of ability with a lot of placings but one of his bad habits is missing the kick and pulling real hard in races, so was great to see his get another win. With a lot of gear changes to try and sort out his quirky habits was great for all owners to see him put it all together. Last horse to run was Dinga having just his second run for us, he ran 2nd. Having drawn barrier 1 which turned out to be the wrong side of the track, was a little slow out which allowed him to get to middle of the track and then down the outside, he hit the front with about 50m to go and just got run down late. Thank you to Neil Farley for some really good rides again πŸ‡, and thank you to all our great and hard working staff😊congratulations to all owners onwards and upwards πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡

So yesterday we had just the one runner at Kyneton with O'whatapicture running in the 58 1100m, and he come home a winner again. After taking 14 starts to win his maiden he now has 2 in a row and yesterday's win showed how tough he is. We had to make a decision weather to run at Kyneton yesterday or to wait until Mildura Tuesday, and with drawing bad barriers at both places didn't help with the decision but the right call was made to run yesterday ( as the track was a concern ) with him showing his true grit and determination to win. Mako has given us grief all week with him feeling so well getting away a few times and having his own little gallops around the stable complex, but it has all been worth it when he comes out and wins again, and another brilliant ride from Neil Farley who has clicked so well with Mako. Once again thank you to all the owners who have shown all the patience in the world with this boy with all his problems and letting us take our time with him. A big thank you to all our staff again without all their help we couldn't keep running the stable like we do πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡ onwards and upwards

Yesterday we had just the 1 runner at Ararat with O'whatapicture going around in the 1100m maiden. At start number 14 and 9 placings he won and o'what a win it was, he won by 4.75 lengths. To say how proud everyone is with this horse is an understatement, with all the injuries he has had from feet ( and they are ugly ) feeling too good and stripping his back leg to name a few, and when he decides to take off while you are leading him πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ he has been a nightmare at times, but everyone loves him. A big thank you goes out to the owners of Mako for all the time and patience they have given us with this big boy ( 17.2 h ) to all staff that work so hard for us and another great ride by Neil Farley, also a very big thanks to Bruno for working endlessly on his terrible feet. Let's hope there are more wins in the near future with him πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡ onwards and upwards
