🟢⚪ THREE TEAMS. THREE GRAND FINALS. WHAT A DAY FOR ECHUCA!

The Murray Bombers can put their feet up next weekend. 😎
Well… perhaps not quite.

But Echuca now has THREE football teams through to the GVL Grand Final at Deakin Reserve on Sunday, September 20 after completing a clean sweep of today’s Second Semi Finals. 🔥🏉

And they’ll have two weeks to prepare for the biggest day of the season.
The question is…
👀 WHO WILL THEY PLAY?

Next Sunday’s Preliminary Finals will decide it, and there’s a very real possibility we could end up with the same two clubs battling for the premiership in all three football grades.

That means the equation is pretty simple.
If the Bears can complete a Preliminary Final clean sweep next Sunday, September 13, we’ll have:

🏉 Seniors
🏉 Reserves
🏉 Under 18s

Three grades. Two clubs. One enormous Grand Final day. 🤯🏆
But Kyabram and Benalla will have plenty to say about that first.
For Echuca, though, the job is done for now.

Three teams safely through. Two weeks to prepare.
And Sunday, September 20 at Deakin Reserve is already looking enormous. 🔥

FREE First Aid & CPR Training 🚑

Young people aged 14 to 25 can take part in free First Aid and CPR training this October.

Learn practical skills to respond confidently in an emergency, including CPR, how to use a defibrillator (AED), and how to manage common injuries and medical emergencies.

A huge congratulations to Luca Micalizzi, who was named joint runner up in U14s 👏

Congratulations also to Lynkoln Richardson, finishing 3rd, and Will Hatfield, finishing 4th, in the U16s 💪

That’s a wrap! Well done to our Echuca Bombers Intro to Junior Football Teams who had their last session today. Huge shout out to our coaches Jordan, Josh and Trevor who made each week an awesome experience for our kids to play football. Thanks to Mel and AFL Goulburn Murray for organising another successful program! Looking forward to seeing everyone back at EJFC in 2027! Go Bombers 💚🤍

Help Shape the Future of Football in the Goulburn Murray Region

The formation of the new AFL Goulburn Murray marks an exciting new chapter for community football and netball, and we're looking for passionate and skilled individuals to help lead the journey.

Expressions of Interest are now open for appointment to the League's inaugural permanent Board.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategy, governance and long-term success of a new regional sporting organisation. We welcome people with diverse skills, experience and perspectives who are committed to building strong, sustainable community sport across junior football and netball, and women’s and girls’ football.

An interim Board has been established to oversee the League's transition and formation.

Following incorporation and the completion of key establishment priorities, appointments will be made to the inaugural Board in accordance with the League Constitution.

The voluntary interim Board will continue to work closely with AFL Victoria to support transition planning, competition delivery and future organisational development.
