To our beloved subscribers and supporters, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued belief in WGTS.

We’re happy to share that with our latest update, measurement functionality has now been restored on some iPhone and Android models. We are continuing to release updates frequently as we work to improve stability and restore full functionality across more devices.

At the moment, some phones may still experience erratic measurements, but progress is being made and some models are now working again. We know this journey has not been easy, and we truly appreciate you staying with us as we continue to improve the app.

As a sign of our appreciation and thanks for your continued support, we have created a survey form for our subscribers. We encourage you to register so that we can help amend the lost months in the application that were affected by the recent architectural update.

Survey Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdpnjY00vV3BDW84a1yqn0EN8iMo2-M9dG6BugbKzGP4X7wHA/viewform

What you need to do:
All you need to provide is the email address you used to register in the app. In most cases, this is your Apple email or Android/Google email linked to your account.

We would also deeply appreciate your help in spreading this news. Please share this update with your friends, club members, and others who downloaded the app so they can also register. We remain committed to making a positive impact in the community and ensuring our supporters are looked after.

Thank you again for your trust, patience, and continued support. We will keep you posted with more updates soon.

To our valued subscribers and supporters, thank you for staying with us through this important transition.

We know the recent architectural update has affected the experience for some users, and for that, we truly apologize. Some phone models may still experience erratic measurement at the moment, while others are already starting to work properly again as we continue improving and stabilizing the app.

We are also preparing to release a 'google form' soon for our subscribers to register, so we can better understand who was affected and work toward helping amend the lost months in the application.

Your patience, support, and belief in WGTS mean a lot to us. We are working hard behind the scenes to make the app stronger, more reliable, and ready for the future of the sport.

We will keep you posted every step of the way.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Some Sports Don’t Just Fill Time — They Give It Meaning

That is one of the quiet strengths of lawn bowls and bocce.

A game can start as something casual. A way to pass an afternoon. A reason to get out. But over time, it becomes more than that. It gives shape to the week. It gives people somewhere to go, someone to see, and something to look forward to. That kind of meaning is easy to overlook from the outside, but the people who play know exactly how real it is.

That is why these sports matter more than they first appear. They are not only about the bowls, the jack, the pallino, or the score. They are about rhythm, connection, and those steady parts of life that make people feel grounded. Sometimes that is what keeps people coming back more than anything else.

Question for the community:
What has lawn bowls or bocce added to your life beyond just the game itself?

Who Introduced You to the Sport?

Every player has a beginning.

For some, it was a parent, a grandparent, or a relative who first brought them to the green or the court. For others, it was a friend, a neighbour, a club member, or maybe just one invitation at the right time. However it started, those first introductions often stay with us. Because without that one person, that one moment, or that one simple “come give it a try,” many of us might never have discovered how much lawn bowls or bocce could mean.

That is why these stories matter. The sport grows through people passing it on. One introduction becomes one game. One game becomes a habit. A habit becomes friendships, memories, and something that stays with you for years. So today, we would love to hear the story behind how it started for you.

Question for the community:
Who introduced you to lawn bowls or bocce — and how did it all begin?

Some Days, the Sport Feels Less Like a Game and More Like a Pause Button

That is one of the best things about lawn bowls and bocce.

There are days when the world feels busy, noisy, and a little too fast. Then you get to the green or the court, see the bowls ready, feel the air, and for a while everything settles down. The game is still competitive, still full of little moments that matter, but it also gives you something rare — a chance to slow down without feeling like you are standing still.

That is why these sports stay with people. They are not only about the score. They are also about the feeling they create. Calm without being empty. Competition without chaos. A simple part of the day that reminds you life can still feel steady.

Question for the community:
What does lawn bowls or bocce help you switch off from the most?

Sometimes Just Looking at the Green Is Enough to Make the Day Feel Better

There is something about lawn bowls and bocce that starts before the first shot is even played.

The light, the calm, the familiar space, the feeling that something simple and good is waiting for you. Sometimes the best part is not even the result. It is the quiet anticipation. The routine. The comfort of knowing you are about to spend time somewhere that feels steady, familiar, and worth showing up for.

That is part of what makes these sports special. They do not need to shout to matter. Sometimes all they need is a good view of the green, a few bowls ready to go, and the feeling that the day already got a little better.

Some Days, the Best Part of Sport Is Simply Having Something Good to Look Forward To

That is one of the quiet joys of lawn bowls and bocce.

Sometimes it is not about a big win or a dramatic finish. Sometimes it is just knowing there is a game later, a few familiar faces, a good atmosphere, and a small part of the day that already feels better because it is there. These sports have a simple way of giving people something steady to enjoy, and that matters more than it gets credit for.

That is why they stay with people. The game is part of it, of course. But so is the feeling around it — the routine, the people, the mood, and the comfort of knowing you have something real to look forward to.
