Community Update – We Need Your Support
Many of you may have heard about the proposed road closures outside Laundry Mates due to the planned demolition of the historic water tower located across the road.
These works will severely limit access to our Laundry and have a major impact on our business.
Laundry Mates is proudly owned and operated by people living with a disability. Disruptions like this don’t just affect trade - they affect livelihoods, independence, and wellbeing.
We’re also deeply concerned for our neighbours, other local businesses, and residents who will all be impacted. Small businesses are the heart of our community and rely on access, visibility, and your support to survive.
We understand safety is important - but so is ensuring proper planning, communication, and real support for the people and businesses affected.
