⚡️💙 AUSTRALIAN DRILLDANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 💙⚡️
Where do we even start?
What a weekend. What a journey. And what an incredibly proud couple of coaches we are.
Saturday saw two Thunder teams take to the floor in Technical Drill, proudly representing our little club from Echuca on the biggest stage in Australian DrillDance.
Then Sunday our Masters stepped onto the floor for Display and finished an incredible 5th IN AUSTRALIA! 🇦🇺
But as coaches, this weekend was about so much more than a placing.
We watched our teams walk onto those floors with courage, determination and pride. We watched them trust each other, back each other and give everything they had.
Were the performances perfect? Probably not.
Were they performed with heart?
Every. Bloody. Count. 💙
The standard of DrillDance across the weekend was absolutely spectacular. To sit back and watch so many incredible teams from around Australia perform at that level was something special. Congratulations to every competitor, coach and club who made Nationals what it was.
To our coaches, coordinator and support crew — thank you. There are so many hours, conversations, lists, messages, laughs, stresses and jobs that happen behind the scenes to get a team onto that floor. We couldn’t have done it without you.
To our families, friends and supporters — thank you for being Thunder’s biggest cheer squad. Whether you were sitting in the stands, helping behind the scenes or cheering us on from home, we felt every bit of it.
And to our wonderful sponsors — thank you for believing in our little club and helping us get all the way from Echuca to the Gold Coast. We are genuinely grateful for every bit of support we received.
And then there was everything that happened OFF the competition floor… 😂

😂 More laughs than we could possibly count
🔦 And an escape room that proved working as a team on a DrillDance floor and working as a team while stumbling around in PITCH BLACKNESS are apparently two very different skill sets!
Somewhere amongst all of that, memories were made that will last a lifetime.
As coaches, we ask a lot of our teams. We push. We correct. We change things. We ask for one more time when everyone knows damn well it won’t be one more time. 😂
But this weekend we got to stand back and simply be proud.
Proud of how far you’ve come.
Proud of how you represented Thunder.
Proud of how you represented Victoria.
And most importantly, proud of the way you represented each other.
We started this little club with an idea and absolutely no clue where it might take us.
Turns out…
It takes you all the way to Nationals. 💙⚡️
Gold Coast 2026, thank you for the performances, the friendships, the laughter and the memories.
From two very proud coaches, thank you Thunder.
Now rest those feet, recover those bodies and maybe swear off tequila for at least a few days… 😂
Because apparently we’re doing it all again.
