The vision has always been to provide a holistic approach to driver performance and preparation, which has led to the introduction of cognitive development, fitness testing/training, performance psychology and driver coaching. Director Oliver Myers knows just what it takes to perform on the world stage, utilising and teaching those skills is a passion of his whilst finding like minded successful coaches to employ the same approach when working with our drivers. Australian Professional racing drivers Joey Mawson & Jayden Ojeda bring their expertise and experience to Focus Driver Performance whilst also utilising our facilities for their own racing success. Whilst Carl Jennings heads up the fitness coaching, Carl has worked with many world class athlete's and teams within the NRL. With our latest addition of performance psychologist Dr. Kotryna Fraser who has a wealth of experience in motorsport psychology. Last week’s Summer Camp at QR was a huge success, with drivers putting in serious work across every session. From the moment the camp kicked off, the focus was clear: train hard, learn fast, and improve results.

Drivers rotated through on-track sessions, simulator work, physical conditioning, and cognitive training, pushing their body and mind. There was plenty of sweat along the way, but plenty of progress.

The energy across the camp was outstanding, and the commitment shown by every participant made it a week to remember. It was a great example of what can be achieved when hard work, smart training, and the right environment come together.

We’re excited to announce that Luke King is joining us as one of our coaches and the new manager of the Focus Driver Performance at Queensland Raceway. With his passion for driver development and dedication to helping racers reach their full potential, Luke will be leading the charge in expanding FDP’s presence at QR.

Since joining the team, drivers can look forward to enhanced coaching opportunities and a fresh push to elevate performance at any level. We’re thrilled to have Luke driving this next chapter of growth.

One of our driver coaches, has shown exceptional form on the international stage, delivering standout performances for HMO Customer Racing. His momentum began at the TCR World Tour round in South Korea, where he dominated Race 1 at Inje Speedium. Leading confidently from start to finish in challenging conditions, Josh showcased remarkable control and reaffirmed that his talent extends well beyond local competition.

He then carried that form into the prestigious Macau Grand Prix, claiming a thrilling lights-to-flag victory in the Guia Race. Mastering the demanding street circuit and holding off a late charge to win by just 0.4 seconds, Josh made history as the first Australian to win the Macau Guia Race, a significant milestone in his career.

Our very own, impressed at the 2025 Bathurst 1000 with a composed and competitive drive alongside Ryan Wood for Walkinshaw Andretti United. The pair ran in the lead for much of the race, showing strong pace in tricky conditions. Although a late mechanical issue cut their campaign short, Ojeda’s performance highlighted his growing presence in the endurance field and his ability to rise to the occasion on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

Jayden Ojeda, continues to make waves both on and off the track. While mentoring our athletes at Focus Driver Performance, Jayden has also secured a full time seat with PremiAir Racing for the Supercars 2026 season.

The Porsche Junior Program recently concluded its season, finishing up with a comprehensive driver assessment day. Focusing on evaluating the physical and cognitive readiness of its rising stars.

As part of the day’s evaluations, drivers completed a series of physical benchmarks designed to test endurance, strength, and the key attributes required for competitive motorsport. By contributing to this stage of the program, Focus helps ensure that emerging drivers are not only quick on track, but physically prepared for the demands of professional racing.

Focus Driver Performance supported the physical fitness testing component of the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series Evaluation Day at Norwell Motorplex. As part of the day’s assessments, drivers completed a series of physical benchmarks testing endurance and all critical attributes for competitive racing. By contributing to this stage of the evaluation, Focus helps ensure that emerging talent is not only fast behind the wheel, but physically prepared for the demands of professional motorsport.
