With no opportunities to go competitive Fuel Funny Car racing in Australia, Peter Russo packed a shipping container and set off to compet
e in the US based NHRA Drag Racing Series. With money always a challenge, the intention was to compete in a limited number of races each year. Despite a limited budget and participation during the last two years, the Russo Fuel Funny Car has qualified in 4 of the last 6 entered races. In October 2016, the car qualified in the quickest Fuel Funny Car field ever at the Vegas Spring event. To kickstart the 2017 season, the Russo Fuel Funny Car will participate at the Denco Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
