Somerset Masters Swimclub You don’t have to be a ‘gun’ swimmer to join the Somerset Seahorses. However, Somerset is not a learn-to-swim club. Age is no barrier.

Somerset Masters is home to the Seahorses 🌊 🐎 It is an adult swimming club open to people 18+ years and is designed for fun, friendship & fitness!

We are a club that caters for people who can already swim, and provide an environment in which they can improve this skill, and maintain/develop fitness in an enjoyable manner (fun and friendship). Anyone 18 years or older with an interest

in swimming for fitness and fun is welcome to come along and join. Swimming is one of the few sports you can actively participate in throughout life. We have members from 18 years of age into their 90s.

🔹The Soggy Seahorses swapped the ocean 🏊🏻‍♀️ for the pool this year for our Winter Solstice swim. Two relay teams clocked up a combined 5️⃣km, with plenty of laughs and team spirit along the way.

A massive thank you to Swansea Street meats for generously donating sausages to help feed our hungry swimmers after all that swimming 🌭

Everyone enjoyed a swim, followed by a hot shower 🚿 and a catch-up over brunch 🥮☕️. It was fantastic to see our members, new swimmers, golden oldies, and returning faces all coming together to celebrate the shortest day of the year.

🔹️ you will notice our training equipment 🤿 has had a face lift! We have invested in new training aids such as dmc fins, paddles and pull buoys. Thanks to a generous grant from Town of Victoria Park and a donation from member Paul from Autostrada. Keep your eyes peeled for the new cage coming soon, compliments Susie and Brian from IEE Global 🫶🏻

🔹️ A P R I L S O C I A L - T R I V I A 🧠
Last year we went to the Vic Park Hotel for one of our monthly social events. This year, socials have finally recommenced after a busy open water season! This time we went to the newly established Molly's in East Vic Park. There were so many of us that we had to divide and conquer and we had two teams. We have a busy month in May with a clubroom reno on the 9th and Bunnings Sausage Sizzzle fundraiser on the 23rd. Stay tuned for more social events coming up.
