Smoothie bowls are such a convenient way of getting essential nutrients into your diet and below I have listed a recipe I’ve been using lately! Feel free to give it a go and let me know how it turns out 🙌🏻
Directions:
1. Add frozen berries and banana to a blender and blend on low until small bits remain.
2. Add a bit of coconut or almond milk and protein powder (optional), and blend on low again, scraping down sides as needed, until the mixture reaches a soft serve consistency.
3. Scoop into 1-2 serving bowls and top with desired toppings.
4. Best when fresh, though leftovers can stay in freezer for 1-2 weeks. Leave to thaw before enjoying!
Ingredients for smoothie bowl:
- 1 cup organic frozen mixed berries
- 1 ripe banana (sliced and frozen)
- 2-3 Tbsp light coconut or almond milk
- 1 scoop plain or vanilla protein powder (optional)
Ingredients for toppings:
- 1 small banana
- 3-4 strawberries
- 1 Tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut
- 1 Tbsp shredded/crushed nut of your choice
- Extra fruit (optional)
