That's a wrap for our 2 Day Shoot at Echidna Park! We kicked off the weekend with our English Sporting side event on the Friday afternoon and unlimited re-entry until Saturday afternoon which made for a popular event. Saturday the first of our main events was the GNRS Prowater100 with 81 Shooters, a variety of targets for all shooters, plenty of banter and some tight competitions around the grounds which saw an impressive 9 25 Break badges at the end of the days events, including first 25 breaks for Barry Bolitho of Hastings and Oliver Hill from Wanneroo. Day 2 was our 3rd State Qualifier on Sunday with 89 Shooters across the grounds and another 4 25 Break badges. Congratulations to Luke Turner for taking out the Highgun on both days, Oliver Hill for the Win in the English Sporting Side Event and Shayne Hill got the Handicap HG from Saturday's event.
A HUGE shoutout to all the sponsors - Great Northern Rural Services/Prowater (Dennis Family) for Saturday's prizes and putting on dinner with Pizzas from the Provincial and to B-Tech (Tim Blakeney) for the English Sporting prizes. Our EP Course setting team did another great job with special thanks to Moora members Bruce and Boodg for travelling up the weekend prior to help set a course that was enjoyable and accessible for all members. The EP Kitchen/Bar/Office team and State Team Stacey/Ken for doing the office on Sunday; A heartfelt thanks to our non-EP Kitchen Helpers: Penny Dodd, Anne Thomas & Ally Jones who jumped in to help out in Tania & Meri's absence and ran the show like a well oiled machine and to Penny Grant and Craig Ellis for stepping in to sort coffees. Thanks to Wanneroo members Andrew Buzzacott and Olly Hill for sorting the shell bins on Saturday arvo while our course setters were racing the sunset to reset for Sunday. As always we really appreciate all the help with pack up at the end of the weekend which comes in droves from members across all our SCA clubs. One of the most enjoyable aspects of our sport is how everyone pitches in and lends a hand to take the pressure off the clubs and their volunteers running the events and we can't thank you all enough. We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend with us and got home safely.
See you all in 3 weeks at Hastings for the 4th State Qualifier!
