Missing the sun from earlier in the week, but spring is on the way! ☀️

Warmer weather usually brings a surge of motivation to get back into training.

The problem is knowing where to start.

Big busy gyms sell you an access card and leave you to it. No one showing you how to use the gear, no one making sure you’re progressing toward your goal.

That’s enough to put most people off before they’ve begun.

Adaption is different.

Small group sessions capped at 10, so you’re actually coached rather than stacked in with a ton of other people and left to fend for yourself.

Follow the members program, or step up to individualised programming written around your history, your schedule and your goals. All in a comfortable, supportive space.

Objective testing changes what rehab and programming looks like. It improves the accuracy of our assessment. We can identify deficits, track them closely each week, and have data driven insight assisting decision making.

But the data is the input, not the answer.

A number on a screen means nothing until it sits inside a plan built for the person in front of us. Your injury history, your sport, your work, the days you can realistically train, what you’ll actually stick to. Most importantly, your goals.

The program is how we close the gap between where you’re at and where you want to be, and it gets written for you.

Our members make progress because we look at the whole picture.

Move Swim is taking part in Cancer Council’s Daffodil Dip at Adaption Fitness & Recovery 💛

Join us for a morning of community, connection and support as we raise funds and awareness for Cancer Council.

TAKE THE DAFFODIL DIP 🧊
Our volunteers will be taking on the ICE BATH! stay in for as long (or as little!) as you want, all while helping us raise funds for an incredible cause.

On the day:
- Guest Speaker
- Volunteers take on the Ice Bath
- 20 minute Sauna $15 Donation
- 15 minute Compression Boots $10 Donation
- Coffee van, FREE coffee for the first 30 people who donate
- Move Swim merch collection

General donations — a cash donation box will be available, as well as the option to donate online.

Whether you’re brave enough to jump in the ice bath, keen for a sauna, want to come down and support everyone, or simply want to make a donation, everyone is welcome. 🩵

If you or someone in your family has had a heart attack, heart surgery, a stent, or been told you have a heart condition, you have probably been told to get moving again. Knowing where to start is the hard part.

We are starting a small cardiac rehab group at Adaption, one session a week running in eight week blocks.

Starting exercise again after something happens to your heart can feel daunting. A lot of people are scared of pushing too hard, or of doing the wrong thing and setting themselves back. That is exactly what this group is for. You exercise in a small group with an exercise physiologist in the room the whole time, at a level that is right for you, so you are not guessing and you are not doing it alone.

We know cardiac rehab reduces the risk of another event and gets people back to doing the things they love. The problem is most people never get the chance to do it.

That is the gap we are trying to close. Our first group starts 10 August. We are keeping the numbers small, so get in touch, or have a chat with your GP.

Congratulations to the men’s U16 Victorian metro basketball team, who took out the U16 National Championships grand final today!

The boys recovered here each day during their week long tournament, jumping in the Normatec boots, saunas and ice bath. The lads backed up each game with an undefeated run 🙌🏻

Well done boys. Great to have you at Adaption through the week 💪🏻

We’ve been quiet here, but we’ve been building.

We’ve just brought VALD testing tech into Adaption. This means a more comprehensive way to assess your training and rehab, and sharper, more accurate programming off the back of it.

We can now test pretty much any muscle group for both strength and power, and see not only how much force you produce, but how you produce it. That’s what takes the guesswork out.

Whether you’re an athlete, chasing a specific goal, coming back from injury, or just want a sustainable way to train that leaves you feeling good, this helps us deliver it.
