Today marks an exciting moment for our basketball community as the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre returns to full 5-court capacity after 18 months of renovation. The home of Albury Basketball is once again ready to host the games, training sessions, and community moments that make our sport so special.

We encourage everyone to come down and take a look around the stadium, check out the upgraded spaces, and spend some time viewing the Lauren Jackson memorabilia now proudly on display.

Named after one of Australia’s greatest ever basketballers, Lauren Jackson’s career is nothing short of extraordinary. A multiple-time WNBA champion, Olympic medalist, and Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Lauren has inspired generations with her dedication, skill, and love for the game.

With her foundational junior years starting here with local teams, including the Albury Cougars, Lauren’s story is a powerful reminder to every young baller walking through these doors that big dreams can begin right here on our local courts. 💙🏀

🏀 ALL DOMESTIC GAMES AT LJSC FROM TODAY 🏀

From today, all domestic games will be played at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre.

With the venue now fully back in action, our whole domestic competition returns to one home for game day — bringing our basketball community together under one roof. 💙

📢 GRADING BREAK NOTICE – NO GAMES NEXT WEEK 📢

Please be advised that due to the grading break, there will be no games in our Junior or Senior Domestic Competitions from Monday 2nd March to Friday 6th March 2026.

This break provides an important opportunity for our Clubs and the Association to finalise grading, ensuring all teams are placed fairly and appropriately for the remainder of the season. It also allows time to prepare and confirm the fixtures moving forward.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone back on court the following week for the start of regular season games! 🏀

📌 Season 1 2026 Updates:

✅ Registration links for Season 1, 2026 will be emailed to all existing Panthers players next week. These emails will come from Basketball Connect.
✅ New players to Panthers will receive their registration link via the Club’s email account.
✅ Season 1, 2026 commences Monday 9 February, with fixtures expected to be available by the end of next week.
‼️ IMPORTANT – Opting Out
If your child is NOT returning to play this year, please refer to Albury Basketball Association’s FB post regarding opting out. Basketball NSW membership component will now automatically renew, and we want to avoid families being charged if their child is no longer playing.

Season 1 2026 details. We have sent an email to players from last year and potential players who have completed an EOI form to play with Panthers in 2026.

Hi Panthers families. We are seeking more members to join our committee. The club does not operate without an effective committee. We meet once every 5-6 weeks and welcome new members. Having more committee members allows the work load to be shared across members and families, which helps the players get in the court.

Please consider whether you are able to assist with the club in a committee role.
