And going up against the OG Dingos are none other than our very own Captain Lachie Fenton and Vice Captain Alex Barry. Bragging rights are on offer in multiple departments here with Alex taking on his childhood idol Jake, and Lachie taking on his mentor Aaron. Old vs Young, Dingo Alpha vs Dingo Alpha, who’s going to come out on top?

Sure to be plenty of abuse/banter between these 4 (and the rest of this great comp) throughout the 2 days, and the 3 months we have leading up to it.

Dingos legends Jake Devereux and Aaron Grimshaw have been picked up by Finn and the Emerald Star Legends for the 2nd running of the Emerald Ashes.

What a win on the weekend for the Dingos. The boys posted their highest ever total with some awesome efforts by the entire batting lineup.

Alex Barry threw away a maiden hundred, but batted beautifully, Jake Devereux supplied some Josh Brown type hitting before Brown thought it was cool, strongly backed up by Sean Gersekowski and Patty Greene.

Our bowling innings was just as good, our skipper Lachie couldn’t keep his foot behind the line, so the rest of the boys had to step up, and boy didn’t they step up. Toby Brice threw up some good honest Andy Bichel line and length and Patty Greene had the ball on a string. Couple of run outs, and a couple of poles from Josh Grimshaw at the end, saw us get home.

Thanks to the Springsure boys for coming over and providing a great day of cricket. Good luck for the rest of your summer boys.

The mighty Dingos picked up a win over the weekend, sneaking back into top 4 contention.

Well done to Payton Turner on making his long awaited Dingos debut, taking 1/19 off his 3 overs, plus 2 awesome catches.

Results from the last couple of games.

2 tough games against 2 tough opponents. Clermont showed us why they’re the defending premiers putting on a great display with the bat and ball. On a plus side, Jake worked out how to use his bat again…

Yesterday we travelled to Rolleston with really low numbers. Was awesome to see Tracey and Nisha throw their hands up to ensure we got a game in, top stuff ladies!

Thanks to both teams for a great couple of games.

Next week we travel to Springsure to take on the Ringers.

Unfortunately the mighty Dingos went down to the Brothers over the past weekend.

The boys showed a lot of heart and effort in the match with some nice performances all round.

Jocko joined his brother on the honours board taking his first Michelle fifer in Dingos colours, and the first one for the season with 5/26.

After a few quick wickets Darcy found himself in early and did his best Matt Renshaw impression scoring 8 runs off 54 balls steadying the ship alongside skipper Lachie (29 off 69).

Well done to Brothers on a great game.

We take on the back-to-back defending premiers Clermont this weekend in Dysart. Be sure to come up and support the boys.

Last weekend vs Emerald Magpies

The boys travelled to Emerald to take on the Magpies over the last weekend. Low on numbers and well under full strength. We had to pull the old fella Aaron out of retirement just to get numbers.

Despite the low numbers, the boys played with a lot of heart and pride, bowling Emerald out for 126, top bowling effort from all the lads. Dhavi took the Dingos first hat trick in the process.

The chase started strong with stand in skipper Alex leading the way with a solid half century. After a few quick wickets it got tight and the boys were eventually bowled out just 2 runs short of the target.

Top effort from the Dingos, with plenty of positives to come from it.

We take on the Emerald Brothers at home next weekend on Saturday.
