🩷 R U OK? — today, tomorrow & any day.
We often notice when something seems a little different with someone we care about.
Sometimes it’s a big, obvious change. Sometimes it’s just a feeling that they’re not quite themselves. And you don’t need to be certain someone is struggling before you reach out.
Trust your gut. Start the conversation. 🩷
R U OK? has four simple steps to help guide the conversation — ALEC:
A — Ask R U OK?
L — Listen
E — Encourage Action
C — Check In
And while today is R U OK?Day, checking in shouldn’t be something we do just once a year. Life happens every day, and sometimes a simple “How are you really going?” can mean more than we realise. A conversation could change a life.
Mental health awareness and looking after the people around us is something we feel very strongly about at Hills Physie - United Physie.
Our members are our Physie family, and their families and friends mean the world to us. 🩷 We’re proud to be a club where people feel supported, listened to and comfortable reaching out.
We can’t always fix what someone is going through, but we can notice, we can listen, we can care, and we can help connect them with the right support. 🫶🏼
And remember — it’s OK not to be OK. You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes being the person who asks, listens and stays is the most important thing you can do.
🩷 So, who’s someone you could check in on today? Send them a message. Give them a call. Ask the question.
R U OK? Any Day. 💕
