And just like that, the Walk Through Winter Challenge is done 😭
When I set my mind on something, I’m all in. And when I decided at the beginning of winter that I was going to walk every day, I knew I wanted to really challenge myself.
My original target was 400km over the 3 months.
But in the last few weeks, I realised I was getting surprisingly close to 600km… so naturally, I stepped it up a notch.
A few BIG walks later, and today I hit 600km.
But a very special mention has to go to my little walking buddy, 11-month-old Charlie.
He had the majority of his naps over the last few months out in the fresh air and gentle winter sun, or dry and warm under the pram cover, listening to the pitter patter of the rain.
But the biggest thing I’m proud of isn’t the 600km.
It’s that 25 of us started this challenge together, and so many of us kept getting out the door even on the days we really, really didn’t want to.
Because that was the whole point.
It was about showing up, doing something a little bit hard, and building the resilience to keep going when motivation wasn’t there.
I hope you all take something from this challenge that lasts beyond winter!
So now …
Who’s ready to step through spring with me? 🤪
