Yesterday Sunday 30th August the Grampians Golf Club played the finals of the men’s and ladies club championship in perfect blue bird conditions with the course presented in the best conditions on the course ever
And the result are
Men’s-Dan Jones def Angus Jackson on the 35th hole
Ladies- Martina Whelan def Alma Fonda on the 27th hole
Mens B grade- Dion Napier def Rod Younie on the 17th hole
Ladies B grade - was awarded to Pam Howell
Ladies C grade-Jo Armytage def Gillian Jenkins on the 17th hole

The course mowed up and absolute treat yesterday morning ready for the men’s and ladies championship finals this Sunday the 30th August .the ladies final is between Alma Fonda and Martina Whelan while the men’s semifinals will be played today

On Sunday 23 August it was our 4 person Ambrose event for the final day of our tournament with 26 teams competing in perfect conditions for golf.

Saturday the 22nd was the men’s 18 hole event of our tournament and we had 35 competitors the A grade winner of the M A Howard cup with the best gross score was
Tim Farquharson 74 and runner up James Brown from parklands golf club 77
The handicap winner was Mathew Hinton from the Millicent golf club 12-80-68 runner up Cahill McNaughton 13-83-70
B grade winner Peter Besgrove 39pts runner up Jim Hewett 35pts

Saturday the 8th August was the third and final round of the Reedy Creek trophy sponsored by Barry Levison the winner of the days event was Bill Crawford 89-21-68 on a count back from Peter Hayes 79-11-68 other good scores on the day Lindy Hayes 93-23-70 Bailey Borgmeyer 76-6-70
The winner of the reedy creek with the best two round aggregate of 141 was Peter Hayes

The ladies played the final of the Joan Young knockout singles handicap match play this week between Jenny Crawford and Joe Armytage in a close fought match Jenny won on the 19th hole

Saturday the 25th was the 12 year of the Tom Banks foursomes we had 21 teams this year which was great
The winners were Derek Morse and Gary Simpson with a net 71
