Well the scattered storms they predicted have come and gone. 2mm of rain in Dungog, 21 mm of rain at Ride Dungog, 1 km west.
Good news is the tracks faired pretty well, but the fresh dirt on Balistyk is back to very soft, so we’ve made the call to close it today and monitor it across the weekend.
Everything else is open, wet in places but will improve as the weekend rolls on.
So if you’re coming for a spin and wondering when to come, I’d say Satdy arvo or Sunday will be the pick.
Satdy Social ride tomorrow morning as usual, 7:00am

And don’t forget our club race on Sunday, 5 unique flow tracks, 1 accumulative time, winner takes sheep station.( N.B. sheep station may be substituted for cash prize that may be less than sheep station cost)

An absolutely MEGA MTB day here at Ride Dungog today! Great sun, great temp and even better trails enjoyed by the hundreds of visitors to our beautiful town.

Thanks to all, and a special thank you to those who have kindly donated 🙏 your contribution is appreciated with 100% of funds going straight back into maintaining and improving the MTB park.

We didn’t get the predicted rain but we had enough.
We’ve done some drainage and patched some holes and we’ve managed to get Rifle Range, Bullletproof and Riding Shotgun open for this arvo. Stage one of Balistyk is not far off as well, we just need to rake some corners and it’ll be good to go. Stage 2 suffered some damage in the drainage areas, so a little bit of rock armouring will be required, but considering the amount of rain we had, they all stood up pretty well. Josh and the crew from Offroad Advantage Excavation and Trail know the importance of good drainage to match a quality track build.
Granted Ride Mountainbike shuttles will be operational tomorrow, so jump on their website to book a seat.

Unfortunately with the rains continuing over the last 3 days it’s simply too late for the Flow tracks to reopen in time for the weekend. As such we’ve rescheduled Sundays flow race to June 14th. Those already entered who can’t make the 14th let us know to get your refund.
