Basketball NSW is proud to officially launch Respect The Game, a statewide initiative focused on strengthening a culture of respect, safety and sportsmanship across all levels of basketball.

This campaign responds to a growing need to reinforce positive behaviours across our community, ensuring that players, coaches, referees, administrators and spectators can all participate in an environment that is safe, supportive and enjoyable.

Respect The Game is more than a campaign, it’s a commitment to protecting what makes our sport great, and ensuring basketball remains a positive experience for everyone involved.

We are excited to announce a girls-only skills session will run on Thursdays during Term 2.

👧 Who: Girls aged 8-13
📅 When: Thursdays, starting 23rd April
⏰ 3:45-4:45pm at Dubbo SportsWorld
🏀 Focus: Skill development, confidence & game play

👉 Eligible girls should register for this instead of Rookies.

💲 Cost: $80 for 10 weeks

The countdown is on! Gather your teammates and get ready for an action-packed 14-round season across Terms 2 & 3 at Dubbo SportsWorld

📅 Season Tip-Off: Friday, April 24
🏆 Grand Finals: Friday, September 18

🏀 Age Divisions
✅ U10 Mixed – Born 2017, 2018, 2019 (Must turn 7 before September 30)
✅ U12 Boys – Born 2015 & 2016
✅ U14 Boys – Born 2013 & 2014
✅ Junior Girls (Primary – 12 & Under) – Born 2014, 2015 & 2016
✅ Intermediate Girls (Years 7–9) – Born 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014
✅ U16/U18 Mixed – Born 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012

✔️ Maximum 9 players per team
