As a trauma-informed coach and therapist I work with you using a whole body holistic healing approach that helps you identify and let go of known and unknown blocks or trauma, negative patterns and self-limiting beliefs.

The body remembers what the brain tries to forget.

I help my clients to get in touch with their body's cues and sensations. Working with the whole body we can find the root cause of the presenting symptoms.

When our nervous system is dysregulated it can trigger (or exacerbate) depression, anxiety, illness, addiction, pain and chronic pain, known and unknown inner wounds, emotional outbursts, self sabotage ...

How's life? We push anything niggling us to the back and step out as if nothing is wrong. Yeah, everything's on track thanks!

I honour you for being strong and resilient. I also want for you to be whole. When we push things to the back it is like orphaning a part of ourselves.

By going through the healing journey and healing ourselves we are able to live more consciously and create a better future for ourselves, our families and generations to come.

If people are ingesting alcohol chronically, there are well recognised changes in neural circuits, there are well recognised changes in neurochemistry within the brain, and they are well recognised changes in the brain to body stress system that generally point in three directions.

- increased stress when people are not drinking
- diminished mood and feelings of well being when people are not drinking, and
- changes in the neural circuitry that cause people to want to drink even more in order to get just back to baseline or the place that they were in terms of their stress modulation in terms of their feelings and mood before they ever started drinking in the first place

Your nervous system is the command centre informing you of each emotion and each motion.

A part of the nervous system, called the autonomic nervous system, controls a lot of the body processes we donโ€™t think about, like breathing, sweating or shivering.

There are 2 parts to the autonomic nervous system: the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), which controls how you respond in an emergency (fight or flight), and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which prepares the body for rest. They work together to manage how the body responds to our changing environment and needs.

In our current cognitive hyper-speed environment, many tend to be living with their sympathetic nervous system activated therefore living with unresolved trauma and stress, constantly in fight or flight.

Those experiences, often traumatic, that have us living this way unchangeable, and they may affect us or keep affecting us in the future.

Living in this way, which was great when we were hunter/gatherers but not in this day, means we canโ€™t easily resolve and release those traumas that can cause health issues, loss of memory, insomnia, stress, inability to lose weight, depression, chronic pain, feelings of being governed by fear, overwhelm, use of legal and illegal substances to numb or blank.

Although we cannot undo the past, we can heal from it. And know that healing is still possible and just by recognising some of these issues, youโ€™ve already begun the healing journey!

Working with the whole body we can find the root cause of the presenting symptoms. Using a somatic approach we begin to reconnect with the body and build up resources, we can go in and release some of the stuck energy of trauma and stress.

The body remembers what the brain tries to forget.

This is one of the ways that our bodies are designed to keep us safe by alerting us to situations that are similar to previous traumatic events.

And while in theory, this should be useful in practice, it can actually be really distressing and debilitating for individuals who experience post traumatic stress.

If we look at any situation where we contract against life; if that contraction doesnโ€™t come back to completion, expanding back to stable equilibrium, that contraction is a trauma and then later in life we will re-contract in the same situation over and over again. This can lead to forming addictions, toxic relationships etc as we strive to find ways to make life feel manageable.

Many people who have experienced stress or trauma may not really be connected with their body sensations and so talking, replaying the story, is often the thing that happens to avoid feeling those sensations or even being aware of them.

To help people manage this distress ๐—œ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐˜† ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ฎ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐˜† using a somatic embodied approach to help clients to start to get in touch with their body's cues and sensations. Some of the symptoms of Trauma can be:

- Intrusive and/or worrying thoughts
- Denial, disbelief, or shock
- Overwhelming fear
- Difficulty sleeping
- Panic attacks
- Obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive behaviours
- Feeling sad, hopeless, or helpless
- Confusion, disorientation, poor focus, or difficulty concentrating
- Racing heart rate, difficult breathing, nausea, muscle tension
- Irritability, agitation, or mood swings
- Social isolation or withdrawal
- Changes in eating patterns
- Feeling disconnected, numb, or dissociated
- Negative outlook of the world or of self
- Use of substances to numb

By going through the healing journey and healing ourselves we are able to live more consciously and create a better future for ourselves, our families and generations to come.

ANGER is telling you where you feel powerless. ANXIETY is telling you that something in your life is off balance. FEAR is telling you what you care about. APATHY is telling you where youโ€™re overextended and burnt out. Your FEELINGS arenโ€™t random, they are messengers.

And if you want to get anywhere, you need to be able to let them speak to you, and tell you what you really need.

Here are some practices that can help you on the way:โ

1. Whenever you earn income, transfer 10% into a dedicated 10% account. The more you see money in that account, the more you raise your money vibration. When you know you have the money, you tend to not want to buy the item as the need reduces. When you don't have the money there's an urge to 'need' to buy it.โ 
โ 
2. Place money in your wallet that you would thing that someone you admire who is financially successful. The aim is to act and be like that person. Very similar raising of your money mojo like the 10% account.โ 
โ 
3. Creating space isn't a one time thing. When something comes in, something must go out. Make decluttering in all areas of your life a nurturing ritual.โ 
โ 
4. Ask questions on everything. Questions create, statements stagnate. โ 
โ 
When you change your behaviour, create new habits you are then creating and acting from your newly raised vibration. Have fun with this and see the transformation. โ
