🏆 THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IS ALMOST HERE 🏆

The wait is over! The 2026 Bowls NSW State Championships get underway on Monday, and the West Dubbo Roos will have two players proudly representing our club in the Multi-Disability State Championships at North Dubbo Sporties.

For Anthony, it's another opportunity to showcase his experience on the state stage, while Nathan will be making his State Championships debut – a moment he has worked hard to achieve. Over the three days, both players will contest the Singles and Pairs events against some of the best bowlers from across New South Wales.

⏳🏆 Just One Week to Go! 🏆⏳

We are now only one week away from the biggest event on the Bowls NSW calendar – the 2026 State Championships!

The team at Club Dubbo is excited and ready to welcome players, officials, supporters and spectators from across New South Wales. Our management team, staff and volunteers have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure the club is presented at its very best and ready to embrace this fantastic championship alongside Bowls NSW.
We wish all competitors the very best of luck and look forward to crowning our 2026 State Champions.

🏆Women's Minor Major Pairs Championship Completed🏆

Congratulations to Kelly Dart and Jess Gibson, who have been crowned the 2025-26 Women's Minor Major Pairs Champions.

Saturday's semi-finals produced two thrilling contests, both going right down to the final end.

In the first semi-final, Kelly and Jess edged out Pam Dawson and Bev Goss 18–17 in a nail-biting encounter. With the scores locked at 17-all on the final end, Bev was narrowly denied the winning shot after a trail with her last bowl, leaving Kelly and Jess to advance to the final.

The second semi-final was just as dramatic, with Tracy and Averial defeating G*i Teale and Tracy Silk 19–18. G*i and Tracy needed a three on the last end. Tracy had a chance to force an extra end with her final bowl, but it narrowly missed the mark.

Sunday's final was played under gloomy skies, with the younger combination of Kelly Dart and Jess Gibson taking on sisters Tracy Keenan and Averial Cox. Kelly and Jess got off to a flying start, opening up a 10–1 lead before extending it to 21–1. Tracy and Averial fought back bravely to reduce the margin to 21–8, but Kelly and Jess regrouped and ran away with the match to claim the title 32–11.

Well done to all the ladies on another successful championship.
The final women's championship events for 2026 will be the Minor Singles and Minor Pairs, which are scheduled to be played in August.

🏆 Club Dubbo is counting down to the 2025–26 Bowls NSW State Championships! 🏆
In partnership with Bowls NSW, North Dubbo RSL and Dubbo Macquarie Bowling Club, we are excited to welcome more than 900 bowlers from across New South Wales to Dubbo for one of the biggest events on the bowls calendar.

For just the third time in history, the NSW Para Championships will officially kick off the 2026 Bowls NSW State Championships, with play commencing at North Dubbo Sporties on Monday, 22 June.

Held prior to the main State Championships program, the event will bring together some of the state's finest para bowlers as they compete for championship honours. The championships continue to showcase the growth and strength of inclusive bowls across New South Wales and provide a fitting start to what promises to be a fantastic festival of bowls in Dubbo.
Good luck to all competitors, and welcome to Dubbo for the 2026 NSW Para Championships!
Club Dubbo will be the main host venue, proudly staging all championship finals during 14 days of outstanding competition. Spectators are encouraged to come along and enjoy the action, with free entry throughout the event.
For those unable to attend in person, Bowls NSW will be live streaming matches on YouTube, ensuring bowls fans from around the country can follow all the excitement.
The Club Dubbo management team & staff have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a fantastic experience for players, officials and spectators alike. We can't wait to showcase our facilities, our club and our great city to the wider bowls community.

🌟 COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Meet Brett Lane, CEO of Club Dubbo, and the driving force behind the CEO & Community Sleepout 2026.

What began as a late-night idea quickly became a community initiative bringing together local CEOs, business leaders, organisations, and community members to raise awareness of homelessness and support those doing it tough across the Dubbo region.

After relocating to Dubbo from Western Sydney, Brett was struck by the scale of homelessness and housing insecurity within our community.

Recognising the need for local action, Brett reached out to (DNC) Connecting Community Services CEO Michelle Hawke and Mayor Josh Black - Dubbo Regional Council to discuss a community-led response. From those conversations, the CEO & Community Sleepout was born.

On Thursday, 18 June 2026, Brett and fellow community leaders will spend the night sleeping on the balcony of Club Dubbo in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and hardship.

💙 Most importantly, every dollar raised will stay in Dubbo.

Funds raised through the event will support Help A Mate Dubbo, with Connecting Community Services coordinating the distribution of support through local food businesses to help provide food assistance to people in need across our community.

Thank you, Brett, for your leadership, vision, and commitment to creating positive change in our region.

After successfully progressing through sectional play in the Pairs, Grant now turns his attention to the Fours. Teaming up with his former clubmates from Sydney, Grant and his team face a tough challenge at Paradise Point against some quality opposition.
