Last round for the season at Western Sydney Speedway. Massive week for the team.
So it’s time too go racing.

NSW Title - Lightning Sprints, Dubbo Speedway May 11th 2026
**** RECAP ****

Well the team made the long drive out to Dubbo Speedway for the NSW Lightning Sprintcar Title.
The team was confident that the car was in full "Rocketship" Mode.

Heat 1 Chippy was starting out of Position 9, the race got the green and Chippy was making moves trying to gain places on the track until the car in front he was battling had it's engine let go and unfortunately Chippy had no where to go.
On the restart after a few laps the car had the wishbone and the chain break which unfortunately sent the broken parts straight through the engine block causing major damage and putting a premature end to Chippy and the Moir Racing Team's night.
Disappointment for the whole team would be an understatement, the team works hard every race night and most nights leading up to race meetings and to have something so cruel happen puts a dagger through your heart sometimes.

Once the team arrived back from Dubbo it's been FULL STEAM AHEAD to get the other engine in the racecar so that Chippy and the team can be ready for the VERY LAST meeting of the season at Western Sydney Speedway this Saturday Night (16th May)

Spectator gates will open from 11:30am, giving fans plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere. Cars will hit the track from 1:30pm, with pre program racing starting at 1:30pm.

RACE RECAP - Western Sydney Speedway.
Saturday 14th February 2026

Only one word can describe it....HEARTBROKEN 💔💔💔💔

Last weekend we hit the track at Western Sydney Speedway with high hopes for some great results.
The team has been working their butts off getting the car refreshed and ready to roar.
Heat 1 Chippy started from Position 9 and finished P6.
With a great 1st heat making some moves with engaging in some great battles with other drivers.
Heat 2 started out of Position 2 and ended up finishing P2.
Chippy got a great start at the green and took the lead until Scotty Withers got me down the back straight, overall a Good result.
After our two heats Chippy was 5th top point scorer.

When the the top pointscorer did the "Invert Draw", he pulled out number 6 which meant that Chippy was going to start the 18 Lap Feature Race from the Front Row (P2).

As the green flag was dropped on the Feature Chippy got out to a great start and took the lead immediately, Chippy kept building on his lead until lap 9 when trouble started and the front sprocket nut came off which devastatingly put an end to Chippy's race.

The team and Chippy were absolutely GUTTED with the result, as it looked strongly like the team was on track for our first feature win. But it wasn’t meant to be.....the Motor Racing Gods can be REALLY CRUEL sometimes.

The team will pick their heads up and regroup to get the car ready and back on track for Goulburn this Saturday the 28th of February.

Chippy Moir and The Moir Racing N11 Rocketship will be travelling to Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway this Frifday Night to race against Queensland's finest Lightning Sprints drivers.
So if you are in the area swing on by, you're guaranteed an awesome night's racing.
The Lightning Sprints are there supporting the Sprintcar Power Tour, and the Wingless Sprints will also be racing.
