Some photos from our Presentation Evening last weekend. So many positives came from last season with our Men’s side sticking together to scrape into the finals and win their grand final. The Women’s team had their best winter season in a long time as well as actually winning their summer comp at the end of last year. Our under 10’s team also have improved loads in the last few years and hopefully we can keep them together going forward.

Massive Congratulations to our Men’s Team who defeated Wellington 2-1 in their Div 3 Grand Final Yesterday.

Luke Meredith headed in from a corner kick midway through the first half. Wellington equalized in similar stances at the start of the second half. It was a game that easily could have gone either way very late on and the game ended rested on a knife edge for 20 seconds with Ross Wright saving a great chance from Wellington, he then launched the ball into Wellington’s half and bounced perfectly for Roland Kelly who struck the ball first time from outside the box, the shot was perfect and beat the Wellington Keeper. Our defenced scrambled well to hold Wellington out for the few remaining minutes.

Thanks to everyone involved in the team who have pulled together particularly late season when injuries really began to take their toll on the squad we could field each week, we rode our luck at points and only just scrapped into finals where everything seemed to fall into place.

Thanks to our supporters who have followed us all season and showed up in force for the Grand Final cheering us on all the way like you wouldn't believe.

Congratulations to our Men’s Team who won their week 2 final today 1-0 in a tight game against Wanderers.

They now have a showdown with Wellington in the Grand Final next Sunday. Tremendous effort from everyone this season to make it and best of luck this Sunday.

The Grand Final kicks off 9am this Sunday at Apex Oval.

Here are a few photos from our Pre-season dinner on Friday night. It was a good turn up and a nice catch up. There is a sense of excitement heading towards the coming season. The new shirts for the Mens Teams look great.
