The Show Keeps Rolling 🏆
What a day at Narromine Cup Day with the stable producing another double— made even more special doing it in front of family, friends and our valued owners.
We kicked off the day with Honey Slider who took out the first division of the $15,000 Country Boosted Benchmark 58 over 1300m.
Given a terrific ride by Liam Blanch, Honey Slider was switched off beautifully early before Liam produced him at the right time, powering down the straight to record his third win this preparation**.
A huge thank you once again to Troy Kilgower for entrusting us with this horse. We’re extremely grateful for the opportunity and delighted to see Honey Slider continuing to progress.
Then came Palentino Sw***er, who bounced back to winning form in impressive fashion.
With the blinkers added, the mare was expected to settle much closer, however a bump shortly after the start saw her settle further back than intended. Heavelon Van Der Hoven remained patient, allowing her to find her rhythm before producing a strong finish to storm over the top and secure the win.
The victory takes Palentino Sw***er’s record to 11 starts for 3 wins and 4 placings, with $74,925 in prizemoney.
It was particularly special to have so many family and close friends involved in this mare, including Janelle’s mother Helen. Sons Brandon (with partner Dom) Zarrin and Sebastian, Brenden Wilson and good friend Chris Mann.
