The famous Drummoyne District Rugby Union Football Club is celebrating its 148th year in 2022. With a 2020 record of 3 teams making semi-finals, 2 teams in the grand final, 1 minor premiership, 1 premiership and Club Championship, we are looking to continue our form in 2022. We field 5 grade, 1 U21 (Colts) and a establishing a women's side. Come and be part of our community .

First grade get the win in chaotic fashion with Lindfield having 3 shots on goal in the last 5 minutes to get the win and 20+ phases of attack on the goal line before we conceded a dubious offside penalty but Lindfield missed the shot in front the and rugby gods were on our side.

2’s put on a strong display against a Lindfield side that they lost to in the corresponding fixture earlier in the year, but the boys put on a clinical display to get the W and secure finals footy a chance to secure 2nd week.

3’s put on another clinical display to keep Lindfield to 0 and also secure their finals spot with their 4th win on the bounce.

Colts with another incredibly strong performance and another narrow loss, the colts are now up to 12 bonus points which shows how close they have been so often this season!

Scarlets finished their season against a tough Lindfield side and despite not getting a win this year it has been an absolute pleasure to see their growth and the fun they have they have had! We can’t wait to see the girls back for 2027 and continue their journey! This is only the beginning!

4’s a tough result going down 19 to 0 but as always a gutsy performance and they’ll be looking to finish the season on a high next weekend!

On Saturday we saw a true legend of the club play his 250th game!

Congratulations Trevor Rangel the dedication and work you have put into club over the years has been phenomenal! You are the definition of a clubman, legend and great bloke!

Looking forward to seeing you get to the 300 mark!

1st grade were looking to build on their victory against Mosman in the previous week and started strongly scoring the first try before dropping to 5-12 at half time but still feeling they were firmly in the game. Unfortunately a couple of costly yellow cards saw the game slip away and the scoreline blow out.

2’s make it 5 on the bounce with another convincing win and are looking well placed for finals, but with a tightly contested ladder and 3 tough games left including 3rd and 4th in the ladder every game is important.

Colts pushed Hunters Hill all the way and finished the game at 3 tries a piece to continue the momentum they have been building and with a number of players returning they’ll be looking to continue that into this week v Mosman.

3’s after a run of defeats came back in emphatic fashion putting 59 points on Hunters Hill. 3’s also firmly in position to secure finals and will be wanting to show top of the ladder Mosman what they can do this weekend.

Scarlets showed a lot fight and improvement as they continue to grow! The scoreline flattered Hunters Hill with a number of breakaway tries against the run of play.

4’s came up against a very strong Hunters Hill side and showed a lot of fight and despite not getting on the board they’ll be proud of the performance

Tomorrow sees Zech Browden become only the 38th man to play 100 first grade games in our 152 year history!

Zech came to the club as a raw electric winger with a couple of seasons of rugby under his belt after transitioning from American Football he is now a hard hitting flanker who brings infectious energy and enthusiasm to every team he plays in.

Zech is an absolute legend having won the Kentwell Cup in 2020, Burke Cup in 2019 as well as numerous individual awards:
2015 Rookie of the year
2020 Presidents Player
2023 Clubman of the year
2023 1st grade coaches award
2024 1st grade best and fairest

Huge congratulations to Zech and his family and we look forward to seeing you lead the boys out tomorrow!

A huge win for first grade in tightly contested game where the lead changed hands multiple times. 1st grade have been showing huge improvement the last few weeks and it was excellent to see them get the W and take confidence into the final 4 rounds of the season.

2’s make it 4 on the bounce and move themselves up to 2nd in Burke with a big victory.

Colts and Scarlets secured try bonus points.

3’s fell to their 4th loss in a row but are still firmly in position for finals and will be looking for a big bounce back against Hunters Hill this weekend.

4’s started strong against an always tough Mosman side but fell away when Mosman brought on fresh legs in the 2nd half
