And just like that, another season of Ellinbank & District Football Netball League is in the books. Mother Nature turned on a beautiful day yesterday at Trafalgar and there was some fantastic football played. Congratulations to Longwarry Football Netball Club, Buln Buln Football and Netball Club & Bunyip Football Club for their wins.

To our umpires who officiated yesterday - this was the reward for all the hard work and dedication you have shown throughout the season. You should all be super proud of your achievement whether this is your first grand final or your 20th! To those that missed out, come back next year and keep working hard and your efforts will be rewarded.

We will still be training Tuesday and Thursday this week as we prepare for the Gippsland League Under 18s Grand Final next Saturday so come on down and support your teammates.

Life Members Dinner and Grand Final Appointment Night
What a fantastic night last night as we celebrated our wonderful life members.

Congratulations to our newest life member, Al Bliss.

Congratulations to Laurie Milner for being recognised for his exemplary service to the GUA as the recipient of the Harold 'H' Mitchell award.

Congratulations to Indie Hayes for winning the Ray Barwick memorial award.

Happy 90th birthday to life member Jim Alger

A big shout out to all our umpires who were appointed to grand finals over the next two weekends. It is a reward for all your hard work and dedication.

Also a shout out to Dipper for coming down and entertaining us with stories about his life and career - definitely a highlight of the evening

As our season winds down, we wanted to give a huge shout out to The Royal Hotel Drouin for providing wonderful meals every Thursday night for our members. From Chicken Parmas to Lasagna, every meal was fantastic and really helped create a wonderful team atmosphere each Thursday night.

Prelim Final Day ⛈🌧🌈☀

What a wild ride we had on Saturday at Nilma Darnum for the Ellinbank & District Football Netball League Preliminary Finals. Mother Nature didn't seem to be in a good mood - a lightning delay in the reserves, a thunderstorm, rain, mud, sunshine and rainbows. It was very much four seasons in one day.

Through it all, our umpires worked together and did an amazing job all day. A huge thanks to everyone who came down to support our umpires throughout the day and to those umpires who were their all day, we hope your shoes aren't too caked in mud.

Onto Grand Finals this weekend 🏆here is hoping the weather is kinder to us!!
