The 2026 New Balance Southern Peninsula Community Tournament is officially set to be our biggest ever - with a massive 530 teams registered! 🏀🙌

📍 Taking over the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding regions from July 3-5, this event will welcome more than 20,000 visitors to the region and inject over $4 million into the local economy for the largest event of its kind in the world!

Proudly supported by the Mornington Peninsula Shire, the tournament is a celebration of grassroots basketball, community, and the power of sport to bring people together.

Are you ready to take the next step in your basketball journey?
Basketball Victoria's Under 12 Country Skills Day registrations are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity for players born in 2015 or 2016 to learn from experienced coaches, challenge themselves, meet other passionate basketballers from across the state, and potentially be identified for the Under 12 Country Jamboree later this year.
The Skills Day is open to players of all abilities and standards, so whether you're new to basketball or already dreaming big, this is an experience not to miss.

📅 Skills Days are being held across regional Victoria, including right here in Dromana.

Early bird registrations for the U12 Country Skills Days are now open!

The 2026 Country Skills Days will be held on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July at 10 regional academies across Victoria.

These Skill Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria. This will be an opportunity for identified athletes to be selected to participate in the U12 Country Jamboree in Echuca in September!

Big V wrap up 🦈

Bit of everything in this one for our Sharks.

Two wins, two losses, but there was still plenty to like across the round. The Youth Men were sharp on the road and got the job done against Mornington, the Youth Women bounced back at home with a strong win over Westgate, and across the whole weekend there was no shortage of fight by our Southern Peninsula Sharks.

Not every game went our way, but that’s the season. You learn, you respond, and you stay connected. Full credit to the players and coaches for continuing to show up, compete and stick with it.
