My name is Lauryn & i'm a dedicated personal trainer and body recomposition coach that loves, lives and breathes health and fitness, it's my passion & my lifestyle. My mission is to inspire, motivate & empower others to become the healthiest, fittest, fastest and strongest version of themselves. I believe, in order to be successful in achieving any health and fitness goals, you need to begin with

a healthy mindset, fuel and nourish your body with the correct nutrition and follow a balanced training program. I find there is nothing more rewarding than being able to inspire others to lead a better lifestyle where they can reach their full potential and exceed even their own expectations. It is amazing what we can achieve and what we are capable of when we push beyond our own mental and physical boundaries and step out of our comfort zone.

Your voice matters, your words matter & what you think & feel matters! Your voice is so much more important & powerful than you realise. No two voices are the same & each of us has a unique voice & unique ideas to share.

One voice can have a long lasting impact & potentially change the world. One voice can start a movement or revolution & one voice can also save a life.

I know through some of my darkest times, the voices/ words of others inspired me to keep going. Those words allowed me to gain a new perspective & helped reignite the fire within me.

Your voice & your words can:

- Allow you to connect & unite with like minded individuals
- Comfort someone struggling & can be a source of hope through difficult times
- Resonate with others
- Remind someone that they are not alone with how they are feeling & that there is hope

Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions we can experience, it allows us to truly honour, be thankful & appreciate all of the beauty in the world that surrounds us & the wonderful things we are blessed to have in our lives.

Too often we get busy & caught up with the daily grind & hustle & we are programmed to be always wanting more & never having enough. Sometimes we can take the things we currently have in our lives for granted & sometimes we don’t know what we truly have until it’s too late. Life is too short to live with regrets.

We need to make the time to pause, notice, reflect, acknowledge & show gratitude for the things that we love & cherish & the things that are important, meaningful & valuable to us.

Studies have shown that gratitude can improve sleep, mood and immunity. Gratitude can reduce stress, increase energy, decrease depression, anxiety, difficulties with chronic pain and risk of disease. The positive effects of experiencing and expressing gratitude are endless.

Practice gratitude & watch your life change for the betterπŸ’«

We can fall, we can break, lose everything we cherish & literally have our world completely burn to the ground but still find a way to rise up afterwards.

We can grow & transform ourselves with pure will power alone.

Not only can we survive our greatest pain & tragedies, we can grow, evolve & develop resilience despite it.

There is no greater feeling than when your hard work & sacrifices start to pay off. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you are stronger than you realised, more capable than you gave yourself credit for & braver than you once believed.

You learn that setbacks & adversity are not complete road blocks, they are merely just obstacles we need to overcome & find a way around. If you are determined then you will always find a way through.

When you put in the work & push through the hard stuff you will grow stronger, more resilient & you have a greater appreciation for what you earn & accomplish πŸ’«

Not getting noticeable results from your strength training routine,
progressive overload could be the missing element.

If you are doing the same strength training routine (same weight, reps, sets) week to week without any progressive overload your physique will not change & you will not gain strength or results.

Progressive overload is when you increase the load/weight, frequency, number of repetitions or sets in a strength training routine. This challenges the body which allows the muscles to grow & get stronger.

By increasing the stressors or load, the body will respond by creating physiological changes so that it can handle that stressor next time it occurs. This means more lean muscle mass to handle the level of training, a higher metabolism due to more lean muscle, chemical changes and ultimately more steady fat loss.

Our bodies are designed to adapt to the stressors placed upon them. If our bodies are not challenged, our bodies will not change.
If nothing changes then nothing will change!

Self love isn’t easy & it’s something i’ve always struggled with!
I had this idea in my head of who I should be & anything less made me feel inadequate & feel like I’d fallen short.

For a long time I thought I had to fix every flaw, hide every scar & erase the parts of myself that weren’t perfect in my eyes & the eyes of others.

I’d water myself down, keep my thoughts to myself & say/ do what I thought was expected, considered normal or socially acceptable.

I built walls so high that no one could break through & I created boundaries so no one could get close enough to see my insecurities & the broken parts of me.

I’m finally learning to love & accept my flaws, wear my scars with pride, forgive myself for my past mistakes & embrace the dark, the weird & quirky parts of myself that I always thought I had to change.

I’ve also learnt that I am enough as I am, I’ve learnt that authenticity is more important than perfection & that we can never compare ourselves to others. Comparing our internal struggles to what others show on the outside is not a fair comparison. We can all highlight our best attributes but never know what’s going on beneath the surface & everyone has their struggles.

We all have flaws, make mistakes, have insecurities & negative thoughts from time to time & that’s totally normal, it makes us human.

I realise that the perfect version of myself doesn’t exist & honestly probably never will. And that’s totally ok because if she did- she wouldn’t be real, she wouldn’t be authentic, she wouldn’t be me.

It’s okay to want to change for the better, to grow, to evolve but that doesn’t mean that the person you are right now doesn’t still deserve your love, respect and acceptance.

We as humans are complex paradoxes. We are both the light and dark. We are beautiful, but also flawed.

We can be powerful and strong and also vulnerable and fragile. We can be confident and believe in ourselves, and can have moments of self-doubt at the same time.

We are perfectly imperfect ever-evolving, ever-improving, and ever-growing works in progress πŸ’«
