Big result for Doreen BMX racer Ivy Mitchell.

At just 8 years old, Ivy has qualified to represent Australia at the 2026 BMX World Championships this July, after lining up against the country’s best at the National Championships in Shepparton.

Less than 12 months into the sport — and already racing at world level. That says a lot.

You handled that Mongoose race bike like a pro, Ivy.

From our families to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

The flooding last week was a tough hit, but what followed reminded us why we love being part of this area. So many people from the local community turned up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped us clear water and mud from the shop. That kind of support means more than we can put into words.

It really drives home how lucky we are to live and work in such a strong, caring community. A special mention to Peter Ashby, he showed up everyday to help out along with making trips to our bicycle suppliers to pick up replacement bikes & helmets.

Thank you as well to Lauren Kathage MP, Rob Mitchell MP, and Wendy Lovell MP for reaching out and showing genuine care and concern.

We’re back open on Saturday 27th at 10am. (the clean-up & refitting will continue for a few weeks.
Thanks for sticking with us, and thank you for the kindness shown to our family and our business.

Unfortunately, runoff from nearby road works on Yan Yean Road resulted in a large volume of muddy water entering our shop today.

The good news:
• All lay-by bikes, helmets and key stock were stored off-site and are unaffected.
• No customer bikes were damaged.

The next few days will be about cleaning mud, repairing damaged counters and sorting affected stock. It will be a big job.

We’ll reopen from 11am Monday. Please be patient while we work through it.

And yes — Santa is safe. Everything will be ready for his Wednesday night run 🎅🚲
