On Monday (in freezing conditions) our ladies braved the weather to compete for the annual Remembrance Day shield, which is in memory of the bowling friends we have sadly lost. The winners were Carol Brown and Jan Cherry. Runners up were Jan Rhodes and Merle Welsh. Congratulations ladies.

Monday saw the final of Minor Singles played between Pat Wise, who came second to winner Gayle Walker, congratulations yo both ladies. An early start for them and those officiating. Thanks to Jean Langbridge the marker and the Umpire was John Spaan, he had to do some measuring but nothing else major. I must apologise to all on the green early, no photos were taken. There were many beautiful bowls put down by both players. The score cards didn't tell the story of the game. Happy Easter to all our bowling friends, stay safe, see you soon.

Today 1st round of Minor Singles played. Great games were played, markers all commented how good they were. Congratulations to Brenda, Gayle and Pat. Guess what I made a mistake [what I hear you say] I don't believe it, see I'm only human, Special Meeting is on Monday 25th March.
