Leave it better than you found it. During a camping trip to a scenic spot, I encountered a well-equipped campsite with designated parking, fire pits, and BBQs, catering to the needs of all visitors. Regrettably, my perception of the current state of the game is that we have squandered the gift of basketball by introducing a pay-to-play approach, tolerating subpar work ethics outside of game nights, and promoting consumerism. Additionally, the emphasis on soft and inclusive attitudes has taken precedence over candid discussions, while self-proclaimed experts and unqualified coaches have become pervasive. This shift towards prioritizing personal interests, parroting trendy phrases to exploit unsuspecting parents and children, and creating the misconception that success necessitates a subscription has caused significant damage to the game. This phenomenon is analogous to the behavior of individuals who visit campgrounds, use the facilities, and leave behind trash without any regard for the site's maintenance.
