A fantastic result from Main Roads Western Australia and the Shire of Irwin regarding our coastal node camping!

We have good news!!! Main Roads Western Australia have arranged access to the Cliff Head campsite for the duration of Stage Two of the Indian Ocean Drive Improvement Works project meaning it will remain open for the duration of the works. 🥳🥳🥳

The project will see the construction of two passing lanes (one northbound and one southbound), 33 kilometres of widening, the installation of audible edge lines and realignment of crests and curves.

Indian Ocean Drive from the Eneabba Coolimba Road (north of Leeman) to the junction of the Brand Highway will be temporarily closed for major roadworks from April 17 until November.

During this time, the coastal camping nodes of Knobby Head and Freshwater Point will not be accessible.

The Cliff Head campsite will remain open but will only be accessed (to and from) via the north.

All road users wishing to travel along Indian Ocean Drive will be detoured via Eneabba-Coolimba Road and Brand Highway.

The Easter Bunny is coming to town! Hop on down to the Irwin Rec Centre this Easter Sunday to meet the Easter Bunny thanks to the Dongara Crc! Registration are required, to register follow the link on the poster or via the Crc post. 🐰

Hop along to the Irwin Recreation Centre on Easter Sunday, 31st March 2024 to meet the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event! Please register for ages 12 years and under to receive a chocolate Easter treat: https://events.humanitix.com/meet-the-easter-bunny-dongara-port-denison-community-event

🐰 Bring a camera or phone for an Easter Bunny selfie (there will be helpers who can take photos with your device if required).
