Reset In 5 Reminder

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, it's OK to take 5 minutes to stop and reset.

Try this 5 Minute Reset

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 what you're doing.

𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 - notice, and acknowledge, what or how you're feeling.
Whatever it is, it's Ok to feel or think this way.......even if you can't quite describe what you are sensing. It might simply be a sense of "yuck" and that's OK.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁 - It's nice to place your hand on your heart or your belly, notice the rise and fall of your breath, where ever that may be in your body.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲 - notice your breath, allow yourself to take a couple of slow breaths, as deeply as you can, then allow your breath to flow naturally. Just notice.

And, if you feel like it, go and grab a cuppa or step outside for a moment and get some fresh air.

You can do this as many times as you need, whenever you need to.❤️

Reset In 5 Moment - Sight

Time for a 5 Minute Reset.

Take a moment, notice 1 thing you can see or sense. It may even be something you are holding right now, like a cup or book.

Allow yourself to fully focus on that 1 thing.

What are you noticing about it? Perhaps it's the colour, size & shape? Do you sense shade or light? Is it textured or smooth? Does it look heavy or light?

What else are you aware of?

Reset In 5

Digital Detox time!

Time to turn off your phone, device, or watch or switch them to silent mode and put on "do not disturb".

Take a moment to simply "Be", and begin by noticing all the objects around you.

What are they? Trees or plants outside, pets, or objects on your desk? Perhaps a view in the distance?

Notice their shape, colours, & textures. What else are you aware of?

Turning your attention to your feet (yes).

What do they feel like? What are they on or connected to? What other sensations are you aware of? The sensation of them being in shoes, on carpet or the floor? It's Ok if you can not sense anything, simply be aware of that.

Place, gently your hand on your belly, noticing any rise and fall or internal sounds and movements.

When you're ready, allow yourself to come back to the here and now, go for a walk or get up and stretch before going back to whatever it was that you were doing.
