We’re wrapping up the curling season with a huge weekend of curling, costumes, laughs, trivia and prizes!

📍O’Brien Icehouse, Docklands
⏰ Friday October 16th from 9am–9pm

Expect:
• Fun and wacky rules — definitely not your usual curling!

🥌 Gold Season Finals are here! 🥌

What an exciting season Gold League has been.
We have the final pool scores.

Our finals series begins this Monday September 7th, with the top four teams from each pool playing on in the Gold League Finals.

The following Monday September 14th, the Gold League champion will face Green League champion Legion of Broom in the Grand Final to determine the VCA Trophy winner. 🏆

The top four teams from each Gold League pool below have qualified for the finals:

🏆 A CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW

🕗 8:00pm | Game 1
5 Ways (A1) vs Broom Mates (B1)

🕗 8:00pm | Game 2
Draw Weight Disciples (A2) vs Screwing the In Turn (B2)

🥌 B CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW

🕗 8:00pm | Game 3
Curl Jam (A3) vs Sheet Heads (B4)

🕖 7:00pm | Game 4
The Pebbles (A4) vs Swept Away (B3)

All games will be two hours long. Teams must play with three or four players—rotations of five or six players will not be permitted.

Teams that have not qualified for the finals should refer to the sheet-usage schedule. Training and practice sheets will be available on a first-come, first-served and shared basis.

Extra hacks will also be set up on the short sheets at both ends of the rink to provide additional practice space.

🧥 VCA JACKET ORDERS ARE NOW OPEN!

Our first VCA-branded jackets are officially available to order for $80 each!

Personalise your jacket- no extra cost.
Options include:

* A name—or no name—on the front
* A name—or no name—on the back
* Your choice of mesh, cotton or fleece lining

The fleece lining is a great option if you feel the cold, but it may be warmer than necessary if you plan to wear your jacket while playing.

A small markup above production costs will help raise funds for the club. Funds will primarily support curler development activities and expenses associated with exploring options for a future dedicated curling facility.

You must be a current VCA member to order. Simply sign in to your account and head to the VCA online shop.

📅 Jackets ordered by 31 August are expected to be available for collection at the Funspiel October 16th.

Grab your mates, make your costumes and join us for a full day of curling—but not as you know it! Expect fun, wacky games, plenty of laughs and prizes for both the winning team and the best-dressed.

🎉 What a fantastic night at our Victorian Curling Association Mid-Year Social! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Ballers Clubhouse in Carlton for a fun evening away from the ice.

There was plenty of friendly rivalry with all the shuffleboard and dart competitions. We also enjoyed some great food, cold drinks, and lots of laughs. It was a great opportunity to catch up and spend time together as a curling community away from the rink.

Thanks again to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable night. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🥌💙

Don’t forget — today is the final day to register for our upcoming Gold League season, running from July 13th – September 7th, 2026.

Whether you have a team or you are signing up as an individual, everyone is welcome to join! If you don’t have a team — we will help place you on one.
