🥌 Over the last couple of weeks, numerous members from the Victorian Curling Association competed in the Australian National Women’s, Men’s and Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Naseby, New Zealand.

We would like to congratulate all of our members who competed and represented Victoria so well. We are incredibly proud of everyone’s efforts and achievements! 🇦🇺

A couple Victorians on the ice with the kiwis at the new Auckand Curling Centre. Back in July for Nationals!

Last night our members enjoyed a fun night at Fitzroy Bowls Club for our Pre Season Social Event.

We all had a great time with lots of laughs and good Bowling. We even had some fantastic bowling throws that needed to call in our umpires Sandy and Rob to help measure.

Thanks to everyone that joined in the fun. We look forward to seeing everyone out on the ice for start of season tomorrow night.

Some of our Victorian curling members Michelle, Bruce and Gerald attended the grand opening of the brand new Auckland Curling rink.

We wanted to say well done to Rhys Greenshill and the Auckland team for bringing it all together.

Based on travel time, Auckland is now our closest dedicated curling ice for the VCA curlers.

Auckland will be hosting our Australian national junior, senior and mixed 4s competitions. Those competing are exciting to see you in July Auckland Curling!

Don’t forget to book your tickets to our Pre Curling Season social event.

Saturday April 18th 5pm-7pm at the Fitzroy Bowls Club.

Join us for a fun night of lawn bowls and socialising. We have BBQ access so bring your own BBQ food if you’d like. Drinks must be purchased on site.

This is a good chance to catch up with other members before our season starts.

Tickets are $25 per person. You must be a member to purchase, but family members are welcomed to join.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there for some fun off the ice.

Thanks Dean Hewitt and Kristen for this amazing effort promoting curling.

Curling Australia would like to congratulate the wonderful Team Australia representatives Dean Hewitt (.curling) and Kristen Tsourlenes () as they took to the ice on Melbourne to get ABC's James Glenday () and Catherine Murphy () into our wonderful sport.

The oxygen of media publicity is always so welcome for our sport here in Australia, so we hope you had a great time, James and Catherine! I hear could find you places on a league team if you want more 😀
