Congratulations to Yarra Pistol Club for their running of the 2026 TPA National Titles & 2027 WA 1500 World Titles.

A very well run series of competitions and congratulations to all who participated and to all the volunteers who ensured all were welcome and looked after.

A special congratulations and thank you to BLACK WIDOW Projectiles for their sponsorship of the event.

Tomorrow at 10am is the MDPC rifle shoot (now renamed the "Dick Taylor Trophy shoot").
I'm not sure who is going to be telling the bad jokes but someone has to...

The info I have on the shoot is:

Production 22lr magazine fed rifle, scopes ok, bipod ok, no lead sled or other vise mounted methods.
Must be supporting the Rear of the rifle/grip with your hands, Rear bag ok.

Targets will be varied so bench rest rifle won't help a great deal. Its a fun shoot.

Road rehabilitation works are now underway on Victoria Road, between The Gateway and Flowerfield Drive in Lilydale/Coldstream, as part of YarraRanges Council 2025/2026 Capital Expenditure Program.
Increased traffic volumes along Victoria Road, combined with several years of wet weather, have led to deterioration of the road surface. These works will rehabilitate and strengthen the pavement to improve safety and durability.
To allow the work to be completed as quickly as possible, Victoria Road is closed to through traffic. Partial access will be maintained for local residents, businesses and visitors, with traffic management on site to assist property access.
Detours are in place along Switchback Road, Edward Road and Coldstream West Road. We recommend anyone needing to access Victoria Road enter from the Coldstream West Road end.
Subject to weather conditions, the works are expected to take approximately 12 weeks, so please allow extra travel time while detours are in operation.
