THE SKIPPER IS BACK! 🏆

After a short break for some and an offseason of hard work for others, it's time to get stuck into our 2027 player signings!

And what better way to kick things off than with our 2026 Premiership Captain, Jaidyn Caruana! 🏆

Jaidyn's elite decision-making and explosive first step out of the contest continue to leave opposition sides spinning as he breaks away from the pack. A genuine leader on and off the field, the skipper still has plenty to offer!

We're thrilled to have Jaidyn, Maddie and Rydah back at the Burra for 2027!

Let's run it back, Skip!

The Diggers Rest Football Netball Club is deeply saddened by the passing of former player, Paddy Kilty.

Paddy joined the club in 1985 and was a valued member of our football community for many years. He played Senior football and was part of our 1992 Reserves Premiership side.

Beyond his playing days, Paddy continued to give back to the club through coaching. He coached the Reserves in the year Danny Walsh was Senior Coach, while also serving as a Senior Assistant Coach. He also coached multiple years of junior football at Diggers Rest throughout the late 90's, helping shape the next generation of Burras.

Paddy was a proud football father, with both Mick and BJ going on to play in our 2016 Senior Premiership, an achievement he would have enjoyed immensely.

A celebration of Paddy's life will be held this Friday afternoon at the Laurel Hotel, Mt Alexander Road, Ascot Vale, from 2pm–6pm.

The family would love to see anyone who shared a memory with Paddy come along and help celebrate his life.
