The Burra hit the road this Saturday as we travel to Romsey Park to take on the Romsey in another huge day of football and netball.

After a strong Round 9 at home, both our football and netball sides will be looking to keep the momentum rolling and bring home another four points.

Get behind the Burra, make the trip to Romsey and support our teams! 💙❤️💛

What a fantastic night! 💃✨

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Ladies Night. The atmosphere was amazing from start to finish, and seeing so many familiar faces and new enjoying themselves, having a laugh and getting behind the club made the night one to remember. Your support is what makes events like these so special🤍🤍

Special thanks to Ash, Kristy and Scarlett for all the hard work that went into planning, organising and setting up the night. Your efforts certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

To the lads behind the bar, Tuna and Adam, thank you for keeping the drinks flowing all night. 🍻

Congratulations to Chloe Johnson, this week’s Diggers Rest Dental House Netballer of the Week! 🏐

Chloe continues to be a vital contributor across both the U19s and D Grade, dominating the midcourt with her work rate, determination and consistency.

Week after week, Chloe shows up, plays her role and gives everything for her teammates. Her ability to impact games across two grades is a credit to her commitment and team first attitude.

Congratulations to Brandon Lester, this week’s Footballer of the

A standout half-back who set the tone with relentless rebound and drive. Reading the play superbly, Brandon consistently intercepted opposition attacks and turned defence into offence with smart ball use and composure.

At times, it looked like we were watching him whip and nae nae his way across half-back, finding space with ease and leaving opponents chasing shadows.

His ability to take strong intercept marks and launch quick transitions made him a key link in the team’s ball movement all day. A terrific performance and a well-deserved recognition for one of the Burras most influential players on the weekend!

All Burras supporters are encouraged to order their Melbourne Caters Thursday night meal at the attached link and hear our Football and Netball teams read out upstairs on Thursday night.

ROUND 9 RESULTS | BURRAS VS LANCEFIELD 🏐🏉

A strong day at home for the Burras, with both football sides securing impressive victories and plenty of effort shown across the netball courts.

🏉 Football
The Seniors put together a dominant four-quarter performance, kicking 23.15 (153) to record a 121-point win over Lancefield. The Reserves continued their outstanding form, controlling the game from start to finish on their way to an 11.11 (77) to 3.6 (24) victory.

🏐 Netball
Our netballers fought hard across all grades, with C-Grade and D-Grade both recording strong wins. A-Grade, B-Grade and the U19s showed plenty of determination against tough opposition and will look to bounce back next week.

🏉 BRAD SLUGGETT - 250 GAMES 🏉

The Club can't wait to recognise and celebrate Brad Sluggett 's 250th game at Melbourne Caters Oval tomorrow.

From the first bounce all those years ago, Brad has been a tremendous contributor to our Club, both on and off the field, over 18 seasons of football.

To mark the special occasion, some familiar faces from across the journey have said a few words in the video below, and we encourage all members to leave their favourite 'Sluggett' memories in the comments below.
