Congratulations to our Netballer of the Week, Leona Hristovska, proudly sponsored by Diggers Rest Dental House!

Leona is a key part of our netball program. Whether she's starring on court as GS or GA or leading from the sidelines as B Grade coach, she consistently gives her all for the Burras.

A natural leader, Leona's experience, encouragement and commitment have a positive impact across both A Grade and B Grade.

Congratulations to Ryley White, this week’s Step Ahead Finance Footballer of the Week!

A stellar four-quarter performance saw Ryley impact the game across every line of the ground. His relentless pressure, attack on the ball and work rate consistently put him in better positions than his opponent throughout the day.

A certain high-flying mark and conversion for goal certainly didn’t hurt his chances either.

ROUND 8 RESULTS | BURRAS VS KYNETON 🏐🏉

A huge day for the Burras with plenty to celebrate across both football and netball!

🏉 Football
The Seniors delivered a thrilling contest from start to finish, holding their nerve in a hard-fought battle to secure a memorable 4-point victory, 12.8 (80) to 11.10 (76). The Reserves were dominant throughout the day, recording an impressive 16.11 (107) to 6.6 (42) win.

🏐 Netball
Our netballers showed plenty of grit and determination across all grades. The standout performance came from the U19s, who were outstanding in a commanding 66-7 victory. C-Grade and D-Grade also secured strong wins, while A-Grade and B-Grade battled hard against quality opposition.

A massive thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who continue to make our club so special. Also special shout out to our President Shane Bishop for helping out the Riddell Umpires and Umpiring the Reserves game.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable week off, see you all at home after the bye.

LADIES DAY IS COMING 💗 Saturday 13th June, save the date 👀

After the Lanny home game, it’s officially OUR turn ❤️💙💛

This night is all about celebrating the incredible women of the Burra community. That’s players, partners, mums, supporters, volunteers, friends… every single one of you 🫶

So here’s your warning now:

📌 Put in that work unavailability
📌 Tell your partner “this is my night out” 😂

Little babies welcome… toddlers? Maybe start making arrangements now 🤣

🚨 BIG NEWS OUT OF DIGGERS REST 🚨

Our very own Bash Brother is Back!

Coach Shaun “🥣” Campbell has officially re-signed through until the end of season 2027. 💙💛❤️

That’s right — the clipboard is staying in the hands of the man who brought structure, passion, standards… and an unrelenting hatred of losing.

In what can only be described as the easiest contract negotiation since Dean Portman agreed to sign his full ride to Eaton Hall, the club is thrilled to sign Shaun, Zana and Huddy for another 12 months. 🔒

Since arriving at the DRFNC, Shaun has helped drive a culture shift both on and off the field.
Game plans, standards, belief, connection… and yes, apparently even the infamous WAGS group chat. All him. 😂

His buy-in to the entire football/netball program and wider club movement has been enormous, and we’re pumped to continue building together as we chase bigger things over the next few seasons.

So get around him, Burra faithful…
Because this is MASSIVE news for the club.
