Toyota AFL Young Leader of the Year & AFL Canberra Volunteer of the Year - Stella Fraser! 🎉

Stella has been a tremendous volunteer for the Ainslie Juniors in 2026! From her first coaching experience during the 2025/26 Ainslie Junior Summer Program, Stella continued to grow as a coach and volunteered to coach our U8 Girls team in 2026. 💪

Stella took initiative to promote girls footy by contacting local schools, supporting come and try sessions, assisting with pre-season girls’ programs, and attending numerous club events to encourage participation. 👏

Primarily due to Stella’s efforts, Ainslie were able to field an U8 Girls team, helping establish and strengthen a pathway for girls’ football at the club! 🤩

During her time as the U8s Girls coach, Stella went above and beyond - including organising and making banners and posters for her U8s Girls team, and inviting the senior women down to watch the U8s girls matches whenever they played at Ainslie. 🌟

A huge congratulations to Stella for these wonderful achievement, and we hope to see her back next year helping shape and build our Junior Girls programs at Ainslie! 🔴⚪️⚫️

U14s Girls AFL Canberra Best & Fairest Winner - Kiara O'Connor! 🎉

Kiara entered the 2026 season never played AFL before. However her sporty background and willingness to learn provided a great foundation to quickly improve and cement her place as a key player in the Ainslie U14s Girls team. 🔥

Her many spectacular performances from the midfield and forward line did not go unnoticed - as she compressively won the U14s Girls AFL Canberra Best & Fairest award! 🤩

Additionally, Kiara only turned 12 earlier this year, which this makes this achievement even more impressive! 🤯

Once again Special congratulations to Kiara for an outstanding achievement - and we look forward to seeing more spectacular performances in 2027! 🔴⚪️⚫️

U14s Mixed AFL Canberra Best & Fairest Winner - Gus Bennett! 🎉

For a 3rd consecutive season - Gus Bennett was awarded the AFL Canberra B&F award for his respective age group! 🔥

More impressively, Gus won the B&F award playing only 11 games during the season! 🤯

To cap off a fantastic season - Gus captained the U14s Mixed team to a premiership, also winning Best on Ground in the Grand Final! 💪

Once again, special congratulations to Gus Bennett for winning another AFL Canberra B&F award - and we can't wait to see more of the same in 2027! 🔴⚪⚫

Mixed U13s AFL Canberra Best & Fairest Winner - Wesley Anderson! 🎉

Wes captained and helped lead the Mixed U13s team to a third consecutive Grand Final! 💪

Wes capped off an amazing 2026 season, winning the AFL Canberra B&F Award! 🤩

Once again, a special congratulations to Wes, and we can't wait to see more of the same in 2027! 🔴⚪⚫

Ainslie Mixed U14s - What a Team! 🤩

After a heart breaking Grand Final Loss in 2025 our Mixed U14s looked to go one further in 2026.

Winning 12 games and losing just 1, our Mixed U14s finished the season as minor premiers. A commanding Semi Final win resulted in another Grand Final appearance for our Mixed U14s. 🔥

This time around, our Mixed U14s went one step further - storming out of the blocks to secure a 48-36 Grand Final victory! 🏆

The players, coaching staff & volunteers should all be proud on a wonderful season - topped off by a superb premiership! 🔴⚪️⚫️

An incredible Grand Final performance capped off a sensational season - a well deserved premiership! 🏆

Meanwhile, our Mixed U13s fell just short of a premiership, after a hard fought effort in their grand final. Heads up boys! 👏
