Members of Kung Fu Wushu ACT are performing at the 2026 National Multicultural Festival.

On Saturday 7 February. Wilson Lo and Yut Hung Kung Fu will be on the China Stage (Garema Place) at 7.30 pm.

Later that same night, Neal hardy and. Fire Dragon Australia will perform, again on the China Stage, at 10.20.

And then, on Sunday Feb 8, Kung fu Wushu ACT will run 031767ublic workshops, from 10 am, on Tai Chi, Women's Self Defence, Kung Fu, and Lion Dance Drumming.

We are very grateful to the ACT Government, who provided generous grants to facilitate our participating in this year's Festival!

Neal Hardy, President of Kung Fu Wushu ACT, showed age is no barrier to achievement, as in celebrating his recent 70th birthday, he put his hand through 120 kg of flaming concrete, on Canberra's last day of Winter!

Kung Fu Wushu ACT will take part in the ACT Government's Connect and Participate Expo this Saturday - 19 March - at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston.

We'll be in stalls 185 - 185 on the upper level, and will have our demonstration from 1.10 to 1.30 pm on Stage 3.

AUSTRALIA MOVES TO TOP 13 IN WORLD RANKINGS

Following the recent successes at the 13th World Wushu Championships Australia have moved into a top 13 position in the world rankings ahead of such significant countries as USA, Japan, England and France.

New Oceania Wushu Federation President

KWA Australia President Walt Missingham has today been confirmed as the new President of the Oceania Wushu Federation.

The Oceania Wushu Federation is one of the Five Continental Federations of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).

Walt has commented that "the challenges ahead in extending wushu into the Oceania region are many but with the support I have been given by both IWUF and the Chinese Wushu Federation I am confident we will meet these challenges and deliver the outcomes for all concerned".

Gold Medal To Australia!

KWA National President Walt Missingham has today advised that Australia's first ever World Wushu Championships Gold Medal (first place Female Compulsory Nanquan) has been achieved by Elizabeth Lim at the 13th World Wushu Championships currently underway in Jakarta. Congratulations to Elizabeth, Head Coach Kee Tan and the entire Australian Team. A more detailed account of the Australian Team in Jakarta will be posted upon their
return to Australia.
