Diamond Creek Football Netball Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ben Shelton as our Senior Men’s Coach for the 2027 season.
We’re also delighted to welcome Ben’s family to the Creek - his wife Emma and children Billie and Hudson and look forward to having them as part of the Diamond Creek community.
Ben brings an outstanding football background to the role. As a player, he built an impressive NFNL career with Bundoora, highlighted by three senior premierships in 2011, 2013 and 2017, while also holding leadership positions as Vice Captain and Deputy Vice Captain.
His coaching journey has seen him build an impressive breadth of experience across community, school, talent pathway and state-league football. Ben has served as Head Coach of St Mary’s U19s, while also holding Assistant Coaching roles with Hurstbridge, the Northern Knights, Vic Metro U16s and most recently Richmond VFL. He has also coached Parade College Year 8 and Year 10 teams across the past six years, further demonstrating his passion for developing young footballers and helping them progress to the next level.
Ben arrives at Diamond Creek with a wealth of experience, a strong understanding of the NFNL and a proven commitment to leadership, development and building successful football environments.
As we enter the next chapter of our Senior Men’s program, we’re incredibly excited to have Ben and his family joining the Creekers.
